Here is some of what you can expect from being a Pre-Admissions Testing Registered Nurse with us: 

• You willserve as primary nurse leading the collaboration of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care prior to admission and procedure/surgery.  
• You willbe responsible forobtaining patient history and current medications, ensuring nursing assessment is completed and standard of care initiated.  
• You will obtain and/or coordinate pre-admission diagnostic testing (EKGs, Labs, CXR, etc.), and analyze pertinent data, communicate findings, and documents information accurately. 
• You willinitiateand document pre-procedure/operative instruction and discharge teaching, involving patient and family/significant other.   
• You may work telephonically or in-person with the patient. This is an on-site role.

What qualifications you will need: 

• Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multi-state Registered Nurse license.  
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. 
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred. 
• Minimum of one(1) year of experience in PACU, Ambulatory, Critical Care/ED.

Border Patrol work requires the ability to speak and read Spanish, as well as English.

Border Patrol Agents will be provided training to become proficient with the Spanish language at the Academy.
