About the Department:

Mercy Hospital South Emergency Department is known for its exceptional teamwork and abundant learning opportunities. Our ED includes triage, behavioral health, and super track areas. We are a Level 2 Trauma Center, Level 1 Stroke and STEMI center, with Comprehensive Stroke Certification. We treat all patients, from adults to pediatrics, and handle cases ranging from low acuity to critical care.

The project is scheduled for completion in 2027, increasing the ED's size to over 65,000 square feet from the current 39,000 square feet.

  • Experience: 1-year relevant pharmacy experience preferred but not required.

  • Other: Successfully complete pharmacy department orientation.

Tech II:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalence exam.

  • Licensure: Actively registered, in good standing, with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician or willing to submit application for registration by first day of work. This includes submitting fingerprints for FBI background check.

  • Experience: 1-year relevant pharmacy experience required; 2 years preferred.

  • Certifications: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).

Tech III:

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree
Experience: Up to 3 years or more of acceptable clinical laboratory experience. Functions as a leader in laboratory operations.
Certifications: Current certification as medical technologist/medical laboratory scientist or categorical MT/MLS certification through the American Society for Clinical Pathology or equivalent. If ASCP certification was achieved after January 1, 2004, continuing certification maintenance must be documented to insure continuous and current certification.
