UPMC North Central is currently seeking a Full-Time Professional Staff Nurse for the Intensive Care Unit at the Williamsport Hospital.
The Intensive Care Unit is a 28 Bed Combination Medical/Surgical/Cardiothoracic Surgical Adult Intensive Care Unit and serves a variety of patients on a daily basis. This is a great opportunity for an individual who is looking to work in a fast-paced and exciting environment!
Hours: Full-Time 36hrs/week
Shift: Days with Rotation or Night Shift Available | every other weekend or every third weekend (depending on seniority) and blocked holiday available.

Qualifications
Education
- Ph.D. in Microbiology, Clinical Microbiology, or a related field
Experience
- 2–5 years of clinical microbiology laboratory experience in a high-complexity setting
- Experience in hospital or health system laboratories preferred
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience is highly desirable
Certifications (Preferred)
- ABMM (American Board of Medical Microbiology) or eligibility preferred
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of clinical microbiology methodologies and instrumentation
