Qualifications: You qualify for the GS-9 grade level in one of the following ways: experience, education, or a combination of both.

Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level that includes: Detaining suspected violators of federal, state, or local laws and/or arresting violators using the proper law enforcement methods.

Enforcing the laws and regulations relating to importing, exporting, and/or international shipping to and from the United States.

Utilizing intelligence techniques and behavior analysis to identify potential threats and perform risk assessments for violations of laws and threats to national security.

Conducting interviews in a law enforcement capacity for the purposes of gaining information from suspected violators of laws to determine the appropriate course of action.

The above experience will be applied in connection with the following: Ability to make rapid, accurate judgments and decisions with respect to the application of the regulations, instructions, and procedures for importing and exporting merchandise to and from the United States; or enforcement and administration of laws relating to the right of persons to enter, reside in or depart from the United States, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the U.S.

In Texas, there is a judicial process for validating the Gestational Contract (the contract between the intended parents and the surrogate). Cardiac Cath Lab Tech's demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients served. They are able to scrub and assist the physician during diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral angiographic studies. Additionally, they are responsible for recording and monitoring these cases, as well as understanding hemodynamic measurements and valve area readings.
What You Will Do in This Role
Assist physicians during interventional cardiovascular procedures, including scrubbing and sterile field setup.
Administer contrast media and medications according to age- and weight-specific guidelines and within regulatory scope.
Start and maintain IV access; monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, reporting any abnormalities.
Prepare patients by reviewing their medical history, positioning them, and prepping procedure sites.
Operate and maintain imaging and lab equipment; report malfunctions and follow lock/tag-out procedures when necessary.
Accurately document procedures in Meditech and verify imaging in PACS.
Interpret and report test results, recognizing and correcting artifacts or recording errors.
Handle and dispose of radioactive waste in compliance with safety regulations.
Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant lab environment.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.
What Qualifications You Will Need
Required: One of the following:
A current license or certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) from CCI.
OR A current license or certification as a Registered Radiologic Technologist RT(R) from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology and ARRT.
Preferred:
Experience in special procedures, thrombectomy, and neuro.
Minimum of one year of experience in a Cath Lab or EP Lab.
Other Requirements:
BLS certification is required, and ACLS training must be completed within six months of hire.
Strong interpersonal skills are necessary for effective communication with patients and staff.
New graduates from RCIS programs will be considered.

• Current license or registry of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology and licensed through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Registered Radiologic Technologist RT(R) .New and existing staff may be considered with 8 years of procedure experience but must complete an advanced registration/certification (RCIS or RCES from CCI) or obtain their Radiologic Technologist license within one year of hire date.

• BLS required

• Completion of ACLS training within 6 months of hire.
