Primary Responsibilities
β’ Create, verify, and revise Machine Control Data (MCD), tooling geometry, and setup documentation for multi-axis CNC machines (primarily 5-axis).
β’ Interpret engineering drawings, planning documentation, and manufacturing requirements to develop robust NC programs for aluminum and hard-metal parts.
β’ Develop multiple setups and operations for complex part geometries, ensuring fixturing, tooling, and machine selection support producibility and tolerances.
β’ Produce clear setup sheets and operator instructions that enable consistent and safe machine operation.
β’ Use simulation/verification tools (e.g., Vericut) to validate programs and eliminate collisions or gouges prior to shop-floor execution.
β’ Troubleshoot and iterate programs based on first-article inspections, in-process feedback, and shop-floor testing.
β’ Coordinate with planning, manufacturing engineering, tooling design, and machine operators to optimize cycle times, reduce scrap, and address manufacturability concerns.
β’ For Level 4: Lead the design of custom fixtures and complex tooling arrangements and define machining strategies across multiple operations and machines.
β’ Maintain program documentation, revisions, and configuration control per company/contract requirements.
β’ Work under minimal direction.
Required Skills
β’ 7+ years of NC programming experience for production machining or equivalent combination of education and experience.
β’ Demonstrated experience programming 5-axis CNC machines for aerospace parts (aluminum and hard metals).
β’ Proficiency reading and interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T, and manufacturing documentation.
β’ Proficient in CATIA V5 NC programming.
β’ Proficient in NC simulation/verification tools such as Vericut.

Position Responsibilities:
Develop moderately complex designs, final designs, and provide maintenance support for the mechanical portions of buildings, equipment installations, utility systems and grounds
Assist others to integrate the activities of multiple engineering disciplines, outside consultants and government agencies
Align designs with customer requirements, building codes and applicable regulations by applying knowledge of construction principles, practices and materials
Ensure accuracy of drawing archives by reviewing contractor redlines and identifying errors/changes to comply with regulatory requirements, facility standards and record retention requirements

The Boeing Commercial Airplanes Liaison Engineering Organization is seeking Consultant (Level 5) Liaison Engineers to support operations in Everett, Seattle, Auburn, and or Renton Washington. We are looking for a proactive individual who can make prompt engineering decisions and who want to go beyond their desk and into the factory for hands on engineering.
This position requires excellent communication and collaboration skills as the candidate will be partnering closely with production personnel.Β The candidate will be the engineering representative on the factory floor transforming design into reality.
Position Responsibilities:Β
- Analyzes, conducts root cause analysis and develops dispositions for production non-conformances.
- Applies knowledge of Boeing design principles to assess and resolve product/process issues through the product lifecycle.
- Applies engineering principles to research technical, operational and quality issues in support of executing final engineering solutions.

This position participates in the approximately 9-month Boeing Company Training Rotation Program, which may involve assignments to the first, second, or third shift, as well as weekend or daily overtime. The specific requirements for shift assignments and overtime vary between sites and are typically covered on a rotation basis. Additionally, there may be travel involved between Boeing Puget Sound sites during the training rotation.
