Boeing Commercial Airlines is excited to offer opportunities for a Sealer Aircraft Integral Fuel Tank Components to join our Joint and Installation team in Everett and Renton, Washington.

As a Sealer for Aircraft Integral Fuel Tank Components, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in the sealing and assembly processes. Your responsibilities will include working from blueprints and specifications to clean surfaces, apply sealants, and prepare fuel vents for leak tests. You will also perform necessary rework and apply corrosion preventative seals to maintain the integrity of fuel tank components. Attention to detail is essential as you assist with pressure testing operations and coordinate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure seamless communication across shifts.

Position Responsibilities:

• Work from blueprints, documents, standards, and other required specifications to complete assigned tasks.
• Obtain daily work assignments from the team leader or supervisor and read Installation Plans and applicable drawings to determine work areas.
• Select appropriate cleaning solvents and clean interior and exterior surfaces prior to sealing.
• Load sealing guns and clean sealing equipment, ensuring proper functionality.
• Hand mix sealant as required and perform rework or pickups on assigned assemblies.
• Assist with pressure testing operations as assigned.
• Use specified agents and procedures for tasks such as removing protective coatings, applying corrosion inhibitors, and reactivating paint surfaces.
• Ensure proper grounding of the aircraft prior to cleaning operations and set up ventilation equipment to supply fresh air in work areas.
• Keep supervisors informed of progress and coordinate information with employees on other shifts.
• Mask areas as required to facilitate corrosion removal or painting operations.
• Prepare fuel vents for leak tests and restore them to normal after testing.
• Apply corrosion preventative seal as required and measure, layout, and apply aerodynamic seals to skin gaps on leading and trailing edge panels.
• Submit completed jobs or in-process checks to inspectors for acceptance or rejection.
• Apply decals, metalcals, placards, and charts to specific locations on parts and assemblies as required.

Physical Demands and Potential Hazards:

• Perform physical tasks that include lifting weights ranging from 10-15 lbs to 15-35 lbs.
• Engage in various movements such as reaching, handling, turning, twisting, lifting, lowering, climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and squatting.

Basic Qualifications:

As a Metal Surface Processor, you’ll be part of a skilled team responsible for preparing metal components for aerospace applications through specialized surface treatment processes. Position Responsibilities:

• Review the tie-in book or standard operating procedures to understand daily work assignments. Provide comprehensive oral or written shift handoffs to ensure seamless workflow continuity.

• Monitor the workload in the area and coordinate task flow to optimize shop utilization. Proactively report issues or request additional support as necessary.

• Identify, separate, and prepare parts according to work orders and chemical recipes (e.g., alkaline, emulsion, paint strip, sandblast, passivate) prior to racking.

• Conduct thorough inspections of materials to verify proper cleaning, etching, rinsing, and other processes to ensure optimal adhesion and coating quality. Perform visual checks post-process to confirm uniform coverage.

• Apply approved masking materials and coatings based on technical drawings or tooling specifications in preparation for plating or painting operations.

• Determine appropriate racking methods for complex part geometries, ensuring proper contact to prevent burning. Inspect, remove, and report any damaged racks or clips.

• Rack and unrack parts while verifying correct part numbers and chemical processes as per work orders. Ensure no overloading or air pocket formation occurs during handling.

• Operate material handling systems, including cranes, hoists, and carts, safely to transport parts and materials through processing areas.

• Operate and monitor cleaning, Dow Coating, anodizing, dyeing, alodine, and rinsing tanks. Determine correct dip times and maintain appropriate temperatures and solution levels.

• Perform specific treatments such as sulfuric/chromic acid dips on 75 ST parts formed on Cerro Bend. Apply alodine touch-ups or chromadize as required.

• Assist in maintaining chemical strength by accurately measuring and adding solutions. Estimate material surface area to prevent generator overloads.

• Start generators, operate control panels, and utilize overhead cranes to load/unload tanks and transfer processed items between stations.

• Strip anodizing from racks using caustic soda and nitric acid. Clean tanks, crocks, and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.

• Mark, oil, wrap, and route completed parts according to drawings or work orders. Ensure correct parts are matched to work orders and transferred to Quality Assurance (QA) for inspection.

• Handle and dispose of hazardous materials (e.g., alodine, acids, solvents) in accordance with safety procedures. Complete all required on-the-job training and maintain necessary certifications.

Position Responsibilities:

• Perform all functions related to tool fabrication, rework, and repair as required.

• Obtain work orders from the team leader or supervisor, determining assignments based on schedule dates and tool availability.

• Read work orders and blueprints to identify required tasks, tools, and equipment.

• Initiate and coordinate engineering change requests with internal support groups when necessary.

Surgery responsibilities may include preparing instruments for specific surgical procedures, monitoring and observing the patient during surgery, and responding to potential complications alongside the physician.

As an OR Travel Nurse, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:Provide basic bedside care.Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.Serve as the communication liaison between patients' family members and members of the operating team.Ensure that the correct procedure(s) is being performed on the correct patient.Initiate patient education plan as prescribed by physician; teach patients and families how to manage medication and home care needs.Additional duties for Circulating OR Nurses may include:Responding to comfort and safety needs of patient.Accurate care and handling of specimens.Monitoring equipment used during surgery.Inventory of surgical items pre- and post-procedure.Additional duties for Scrub OR Nurses may include:Selection and handling of surgical instruments and supplies during procedures.Inventory of surgical items pre- and post-procedure.Additional duties for RN First Assistant may include:Assist physicians by delivering direct surgical care.Help control bleeding.Suture patients following surgery.OR Travel Nurses should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoop without difficulty. RNs should be able to easily lift 20 pounds. Moving or lifting of patients may require lifting of up to 50 pounds at times. RNs may face hazards from exposure to certain chemicals or infectious diseases in the operating room environment.
