- Inpatient Focus in Asheville, South Carolina! We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant specializing in Cardiothoracic Surgery for a full-time locum tenens position in Asheville, SC.
The ideal candidate is dedicated, skilled, and prepared for a high-acuity, hospital-based environment, with significant surgical responsibilities.
Role Highlights Primary Duties: First Assist in all open heart surgeries, Vein Harvesting/Suturing, and comprehensive pre/post-operative surgical care.
Setting: High-volume 720-bed acute care hospital (90% Inpatient).
Team: Collaborate with 4 Physicians and 7 Mid-Levels.
Caseload: Approx.
10 adult patients daily (admissions, ICU cases, 4 surgeries).

Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team full time. Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

Essential functions required:
- Obtains complete medical history and physical data on patients. Reviews patient records.
- Interprets and integrates data to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures needed.
