- ABQ VAMC Community Based Outpatient Center (CBOC) The Albuquerque Veterans Affairs Medical Center is a Level 1 tertiary referral center with a 24-hour Emergency Room located in the heart of the Land of Enchantment.
The medical center is authorized to operate 310 beds, which include 184 acute hospital beds (26 of those belonging to the Spinal Cord Injury Center), 90 residential rehabilitation treatment program beds (comprised of 26 Psychosocial Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program, 24 bed Substance Abuse Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program, and 40 bed Domiciliary Program), and a 36-bed Nursing Home Care Unit.
The NMVAHCS is a proud member of Veterans Integrated Service Network.

Provider shall see patients for general medicine problems including performing the history and physical exam, making electronic progress notes, scheduling return visits, writing orders for lab and x-ray, prescribing medications, etc.
Functioning as a primary care provider, the provider shall request as indicated, consultations from specialists and subspecialists in the WTVAHCS staff.
Provider shall participate in quality management activities that pertain to his/her duties.
In addition to the above clinical responsibilities, provider shall hold routine administrative duties.
Shall participate in clinical conferences for staff and shall attend medical staff and service-level meetings.
Services shall be performed in accordance with VA policies and procedures and the regulations of the medical staff bylaws of WTVAHCS.
Provider shall enter all medical documentation in the Computerized Patient Records Systems (CPRS) and electronically sign all.
Enter orders and prescriptions electronically using CPRS, as appropriate.
REQUIREMENTS Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM).
Must have current license to practice medicine in any state, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States of Columbia.
Must have current certification in Basic Life Support at certified by the American Heart Association.
