$15 per hour! The Guest Service agent is responsible for greeting and checking in guests, as well as processing payments, informing guests of the package elements
while ensuring front desk efficiency.

• Interacts with guests in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner. Registers guests, assign rooms, check out guests, arrange for special requests, provide hotel and area information, answer phones, and ensure that all operating procedures are followed.
• Dispenses and accounts for package tickets and discount coupons. 
• Accurately totals guest balances and collects payment.
• Uses proper mail, package, and message handling procedures.
• Effectively resolves guest concerns and issues with use of minor compensation.

Performs inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and annual rehabilitation of a variety of different amusement rides and attractions, depending on level of employee. Areas of responsibility include (but are not limited to) maintenance of gearboxes, chains, sprockets, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, wire rope, hoists, brakes, pumps, and large bearings. Climbing and working safely at height is an essential part of this job.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Performs daily, weekly, monthly, annual, and other required inspections of amusement rides and related equipment as assigned, taking corrective actions as issues are identified. Inspections are visual as well as auditory.
• Trouble shoots a variety of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems and takes appropriate corrective actions.
• Properly follows all repair procedures and maintains accurate documentation of all repairs. Maintains orderly and accurate records of all required inspections and work performed and submits required paperwork to supervision in a timely manner.
• Communicates the status of assigned rides both verbally and in written format.
• Maintains all assigned equipment in a safe and ready condition according to all applicable codes, laws, rules, company policies, and best practices.
• Reads, understands, and applies information from manufacturer’s manuals for service, repair and or component replacement. Accurately reads blueprints (mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic). Completes proper documentation as required.
• Interacts with and communicates with various groups and individuals, such as the immediate supervisor, other Park managers and staff, co-workers, guests, vendors, contractors, inspectors, etc.
• Provides guest service according to Six Flags standards when serving the guest, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions, and giving directions.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Six Flags safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervisor.
• Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.

Good judgment, decision making and problem-solving skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent. 

License or Certification: Must meet location-specific requirements to work on specific rides and attractions. State or provincial certifications and/or licensing within if applicable in state. Valid driver’s license. Welding certification preferred.

Experience: Typically requires 4-6 years mechanical maintenance experience, including at least 2 years working on rides.

Equivalency: Directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience and/or competencies may be considered in place of the above requirements.

The Facilities Electrician inspects, installs, repairs, and maintains all of the electrical systems and equipment. This includes but not limited to: wiring, electrical fixtures, electric motors, motor controls, variable frequency drives, soft starters, programmable logic controls, pumps, lighting, generators and all levels of electrical distribution, transformers, and inverters.

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools. Install ground leads and connect power cables to equipment such as motors, etc.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and repair/correct the problem. Repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
• Work from ladders, scaffold, Aerial Lifts and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
• Must be able to complete assigned Work orders and enter the completed jobs in computer system.

• High school diploma / GED required.
• Vocational / technical training in electrical preferred. 
• At least 6-8 years of prior equivalent work experience. 
• Ability to work cooperatively with others in a fast paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Ability to read/write, comprehend instructions and communicate in English.
• Ability to work safely and effectively while elevated on ladders, platforms, or other structures at heights up to 320 feet above ground.

At Carowinds, work is FUN! As an essential part of our Ride Operations team, you will ensure each ride operates safely and efficiently. Ride Operators work at a fast pace while maintaining strong attention to detail and utilizing essential communication skills.? You’ll also: 

• Test equipment daily before opening the ride to guests.  

• Enforce park policies, ride restrictions and ride recommendations.  

• Restrict the number of guests on the loading platform to the number who can be seated on the ride.  

• Ensure safe operation of the ride. Makes certain that queue lines are safe and orderly.  

• Assist with the loading and unloading of the ride to include small children and guests with disabilities.  

• Verify that safety restraints and belts are correctly secured before the ride is set into motion.  

• Take appropriate action to answer or resolve guest questions and complaints.  

• Measure children at height stations and issues appropriate wristbands.  

• Record hourly ride capacity and cycles.  

• Give directions and deliver ride spiels using a microphone.

The Houseman requires an approachable, friendly and polished demeanor with a guest focus mindset.  As Houseman you will create a warm & welcome atmosphere throughout the hotel by maintaining clean and safe public spaces and delivering guest request. Safety is a top priority here at Carowinds, and our Safety team is full of professional and compassionate individuals dedicated to caring for others. Carowinds is looking for EMTs to provide emergency and non-emergency care to all of our Guests and associates. As part of this team, you'll staff the park's First Aid office and respond to medical calls on property. You'll also:

• Provides basic clinical, life support and/or emergency care to guests and associates including wound care, removing splinters, dispensing over-the-counter medications and patient assessments.
• Processes and completes departmental paperwork thoroughly, accurately and legibly as well as maintains high degree of confidentiality.
• Maintains all first aid facilities, vehicles, and equipment in a clean and sanitary condition. Performs cleaning duties according to OSHA and Park Blood-Borne Pathogen Requirements.
• Performs and interprets pre-employment urine drug screens. Collects and processes urine specimens for post-incident, reasonable cause and random drug screens.
• Assists with weekly, monthly, quarterly safety inspections and immediately reports hazardous conditions. Documents findings as directed.

About the position

As a Production Technician with Carowinds Live Entertainment Department, you will play a vital role in the creation and execution of our brand new shows, attractions, and events. Your primary responsibilities will include reading, understanding, and implementing plans and blueprints, as well as translating designer concepts into functional builds for shows and events. In this role, proficiency with hand and power tools is essential, as you will operate a variety of equipment, including golf carts, forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, construction equipment, and motor vehicles.
