You may be enrolled in Healthcare pre-reqs or Surgical Technology program itself to qualify. Previous transcripts and a letter of recommendation will be required to be considered.

This is program is offered at Mercy Springfield. If you are interested in participating in this program for Summer 2026, please apply and recruitment will reach out with further information.

Please note that you will be required to work at least 16 hours per pay period (every 2 weeks) employment positions may vary by program. A contract will need to be signed stating that you will remain at the Mercy facility you have chosen for 1-3 years after graduation.

Overview:

Under the general supervision of Therapy Leadership and according to departmental policies and procedures regarding referral, standards of treatment, performs objective assessments, as well as comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients. Responsible for direct supervision to patients, indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians. General supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.

  • Licensure: Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.

  • Certifications: BLS certified. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently.

  • Preferred Experience: Six months to one year experience is preferred for Rehabilitation Physical Therapist. Prefer experience with care for adult and geriatric patients.

  • Physical Requirements:

    • Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.

    • Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.

    • Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.

Mercy Hospital-Springfield is seeking a  full-time Urology Physician to join a dynamic team of 4 hospital-employed urologists and 6 NPs/PAs. With a busy and diverse patient population, you’ll have the opportunity to practice the full spectrum of urology — from elective cases to trauma — in a supportive and collegial environment.

Mercy Hospital - Springfield:

  • Guaranteed minimum salary of $700,000 - opportunity for much higher income based on wRVUs

  • $100,000 signing bonus + paid relocation

  • Excess call pay available (if desired)

  • Perform advanced urology procedures in two dedicated urology suites, ESWL suite, outpatient surgery center, and office procedure rooms

  • Experienced support staff: urology PAs manage clinics so you can focus on surgical cases

  • Up to 4 OR days/week
