Job Title: Fire Protection Systems Designer

Location: Philadelphia or Lehigh Valley PA

Compensation: $80,000 - $100,000

Company Overview:

Tiello is partnered with a leading Fire Protection Contractor specializing in fire alarm, fire suppression, and special hazard systems, in their search for a Fire Protection Systems Designer to support commercial, industrial, and special hazard projects.


Role Summary:


The ideal candidate will have 3–5+ years of experience in fire protection system design and drafting and will be responsible for preparing accurate, code-compliant drawings and supporting projects from design through closeout. This role collaborates closely with engineering, sales, project management, and field teams to ensure designs are technically sound and buildable.

Job Responsibilities:


  • Prepare detailed drawings for fire protection, fire suppression, and fire alarm systems using AutoCAD
  • Develop system layouts including detection devices, notification appliances, control panels, and releasing panels
  • Design clean agent and special hazard suppression systems
  • Produce riser diagrams, schematics, and sequence of operations documentation
  • Ensure compliance with NFPA standards (including NFPA 13, 72, 2001) and AHJ requirements
  • Review project specifications to validate required design criteria
  • Prepare and coordinate submittal packages for AHJ and client review
  • Maintain organized drawing files, revision controls, and documentation databases
  • Support installation and commissioning teams with design revisions and technical clarification
  • Utilize manufacturer-specific software for alarm and suppression system layouts
  • Stay current with fire protection codes, technology updates, and industry standards


Qualifications/Requirements:


  • High School Diploma or GED required; technical degree in drafting, engineering technology, or related field preferred
  • 3–5+ years of fire protection system design or drafting experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Working knowledge of applicable NFPA codes
  • Familiarity with AHJ submittal processes
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
  • NICET certification (or actively pursuing) preferred
  • Experience with clean agent or special hazard systems preferred
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S.

Provides patient and caregiver education aimed at achieving patient goals and outcomes under the direction of the RN Case Manager and in collaboration with the Home Health Care Navigator.

Job Duties

  • Delivers patient care based on the medical plan of treatment established by the physician and protocols using a patient family centered approach. Performs comprehensive subjective and objective ongoing assessments of patient's status that includes physical, psychosocial and environmental parameters. Relays significant changes in patient status to the physician, RN Case Manager, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team as appropriate in a time period consistent with patient needs.
  • Reviews, evaluates, and as appropriate, revises the established plan of care to reflect progress toward achieving patient outcomes/goals in collaboration with the RN Case Manager and Home Health Care Navigator.
  • Provides educational opportunities for patients, families, and clinical staff focusing on end-of-life issues, palliative care, advance directives, chronic disease management, pain management, symptom control, home care, hospice, and discharge planning. Promotes patient/caregiver autonomy. Evaluates effectiveness of teaching and modifies education based on patient needs and goals.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Specialized Diploma Nursing or
  • Associate’s Degree Nursing
  • 1 year recent experience providing direct care in a healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of patient education techniques and principles
  • Ability to take initiative and function independently without direct supervision and as a member of the care team
  • Ability to travel to patient care assignments
  • Knowledge of Home Health Conditions of Participation
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania within 30 Days
  • RN - Licensed Registered Nurse_PA - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
  • DL - Driver's License_PA - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree Nursing
  • 1 year Home Health experience
  • Knowledge of and skill in completing OASIS data set collection with a high level of accuracy
  • AMB-BC- Ambulatory Care Nursing ANCC - State of Pennsylvania within 3 Years

Summary

Operates cardiac ultrasound equipment and performs high quality cardiac ultrasound imaging (echocardiography) to be used for the diagnostic evaluation of chamber measurements, blood flow characteristics, and cardiac function of the heart.

Job Duties

  • Performs high quality Transthoracic and Stress Echocardiography imaging studies per protocol on adult and geriatric patient population including the knowledge of transducer selection, equipment knobology for optimal image, and the knowledge/ability to perform all measurements, per protocol. Performs the patient meet/greet (confirm ID and order), reviews history and supporting clinical data for optimum diagnostic results, conducts patient prep (explain procedure, answer questions, take BP, apply electrodes), monitors patient wellbeing during test to recognize potential medical problems and takes action, and develops documentation (including Technical Sonographer Report). Provides medication/ IV insertion ( ultrasound enhancement agent, UEA) as needed.
  • Provides fellow colleague/new hire, student, intern and/or Fellow proctoring/training.
  • Participates in echocardiography performance improvement initiatives and contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives; adheres to department policies, procedures, quality standards, and safety standards.
  • Communicates appropriately, respectfully, and clearly to directors, managers, and colleagues. Accepts direction as provided.
  • Communicates, notifies, and follows-up on equipment failures and/or maintenance.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED with Cardiac Ultrasound on-the-job training and with registry and >5 years experience or
  • Technical School Diploma successful graduation from Cardiac Ultrasound program and registry within a year of hire
  • Less than 1 year experience performing adult cardiac ultrasound
  • Knowledge of cardiac ultrasound physics and cardiac anatomy & physiology.
  • Skill to use various ultrasound machine makes and models and perform settings and knobology for optimal images.
  • Skill to prioritize patient care and use critical thinking.
  • Ability to demonstrate eye-hand coordination, mechanical, and analytical aptitude.
  • Ability to (physically) position patients for optimal images and transport ultrasound equipment.
  • Ability to support a patient in an emergency situation.
  • RDCS-Reg Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer ARDMS - State of Pennsylvania within 1 Year or
  • RCS - Registered Cardiac Sonographer CCI - State of Pennsylvania within 1 Year
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania within 30 Days

Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate’s Degree Cardiac Ultrasound program and registry or
  • Bachelor’s Degree Cardiac Ultrasound program and registry
