Your repair and maintenance assignments will be a mix of shop and field work.

* Diagnose the condition of customer and dealer-owned machines.

Perform repair on hydraulic, electrical, mechanical and structural systems.
* Maintain positive and effective interaction with customers, colleagues and equipment manufacturers.
* Provide accurate records as it relates to repair orders and time cards
* Attend company sponsored factory training classes
* Adhere to company and industry safety practices
* Overtime may be required from time to time Qualifications
- the ideal candidates will possess the following:
* Experience in the repair of construction equipment and related attachments.
* Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, transmissions, electrical systems and structural repairs including welding.
* Capable of working with limited supervision (a "self-starter")
* Basic computer skills to perform electronic diagnostics
* Physical capabilities and dexterity are required (lifting up to 50 pounds).
* Complete set of tools to perform related repairs
* High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Additional technical classes a plus
* Must have a valid driver`s license and clean DMV record.
* Good references from former employers and colleagues.

The Role

The Assistant Project Manager (APM) owns and facilitates tasks as outlined by the Project Manager or Project Executive, within the projects assigned.

Assistant Project Managers provide support and communication for successful project completion. APM’s provide a focus on the day-to-day details of these projects, including relaying correspondence between field and office (both internally and externally), ordering equipment, and managing project documentation. These duties help the Project Manager/Project Executive ensure that the schedule and project goals for the job are met. It is critical that they perform this work within the policies, ethical standards and objectives of Hermanson Company.

The Assistant Project Manager’s duties and responsibilities may be specialized toward HVAC and Plumbing Plan Spec type projects, Design/Build type projects or a combination of both depending on the experience and qualifications of the individual.

• Work with the department leader on business/personal development plan
• Develop submittal packages and check for accuracy compared to drawings and building standards.
• Draft equipment POs and check for accuracy compared to drawings, submittals, quotes, and building standards.
• Update equipment procurement logs.
• Track delivery of equipment orders.
• Understand construction schedules and how they were developed.
• Assess drawing updates and determine if there are scope impacts.
• Coordinate with the field, client, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Understand the basics of estimating.
• Quantity/Material takeoffs of engineered drawings.
• Conceptual estimating from architectural drawings or no drawings at all.
• Calculates and draft change orders as required within
• Understand and execute all Hermanson’s processes and procedures.
• Work closely with Project Managers and Account Executives.
• Understand how to complete and present monthly financial reports (Stats).
• Meet and develop relationships with clients and coworkers (field and office).
• Maintain and develop a working knowledge of the local construction marketplace.
• Maintain and develop technical knowledge of mechanical system operations.
• Update project budgets and change order logs.
• Establish and assures that a document control system is in place and updated on a regular basis throughout all projects.
• Assist the Project Manager and Account Executive in keeping all projects billed and assist in the collection of your invoices before they become 60 days past due.

The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $110,000. (The compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience).

Education

Has earned a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering capacity (we will consider a combination of direct Trade experience and education that would indicate proficiency in performing Assistant Project Manager duties)

The Role

The Quality Assurance Manager / Quality Control Manager holds a dual role, overseeing and managing a small QA/QC team while actively participating in quality control inspections and processes. This position is vital in ensuring the quality and compliance of mechanical systems installations by leading a team of QC inspectors, conducting inspections, and coordinating documentation. The Quality Assurance Manager / Quality Control Manager collaborates closely with project management, field personnel, subcontractors, shop personnel, and QC inspectors to maintain high-quality workmanship, adherence to safety regulations, and efficient workflow within the QC department.

Team Leadership and Participation:

• Manage and lead a team of QC inspectors, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient and effective performance.
• Actively participate in quality inspections alongside the QC team to verify compliance with project specifications, industry codes, and safety standards.
• Assign and prioritize inspection tasks to QC inspectors to meet project timelines.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations of QC team members and provide feedback.
• Willing to help his/her team in the field if needed.

Quality Inspection and Documentation:

• Oversee and participate in inspections of mechanical systems, equipment, and installations to verify compliance with project specifications, industry codes, and safety standards.
• Ensure that inspections are thorough, and documented deficiencies or deviations are addressed appropriately.
• Coordinate with QC inspectors to maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and non-conformance reports.
• Review and validate the results of various tests and measurements conducted by the QC team.

Compliance Assurance:

• Collaborate with project management and subcontractors to proactively address quality-related challenges and deviations from project plans and specifications.
• Monitor and enforce adherence to safety regulations, contract requirements, and quality standards.
• Assist in the resolution of quality-related issues by working closely with the QC team and project management.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in quality control or inspection within the construction industry, particularly in mechanical systems.
• Knowledgeable in code reading, such as ASME B31.1, ASME B31.3, ASME Section IX.
• Relevant certifications or training in quality control, construction inspection, or a related field are a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
• Strong leadership and management skills with experience in managing a team.
• Thorough knowledge of construction codes, standards, and regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in using inspection tools, instruments, and software.

Salary: The salary for this position is $130,000 - $150,000 or commensurate with experience and qualifications.
