Summary

Our client, a leading manufacturer of specialized industrial equipment, is seeking a Director of Supply Chain Planning & Logistics to lead the planning and logistics engine for its North America operations. This leader will ensure customer demand is translated into executable production and supply plans while improving service levels, inventory performance, and logistics reliability.

This is a strategic supply chain leadership role responsible for strengthening the company’s Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process and improving alignment between sales demand, production capacity, supplier performance, and logistics execution.

The ideal candidate is a strategic supply chain thinker with strong planning expertise who has successfully led S&OP, production planning, and materials planning functions in complex manufacturing environments.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process aligning Sales, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain to a unified production and supply plan.
  • Translate demand forecasts and backlog into executable production schedules.
  • Own Master Production Scheduling (MPS) for a make-to-order manufacturing environment.
  • Balance demand, supplier capacity, labor constraints, and production schedules to ensure reliable delivery.
  • Develop scenario modeling to support executive decision-making related to demand, supply, and capacity.
  • Oversee Material Requirements Planning (MRP) execution and planning system governance.
  • Coordinate supplier capacity and long-lead materials with production planning.
  • Improve supplier on-time delivery and inbound supply reliability.
  • Lead inbound and outbound logistics strategy supporting manufacturing operations.
  • Optimize transportation performance and reduce premium freight and expedite costs.
  • Develop inventory strategies aligned with production requirements and long-lead components.
  • Improve inventory turns and working capital performance while protecting service levels.
  • Partner with Finance to support forecasting and cash-flow planning related to supply chain activities.
  • Ensure planning system data accuracy including BOMs, lead times, and planning parameters.
  • Develop KPIs and reporting processes to improve planning discipline and operational visibility.
  • Lead and develop a team responsible for planning, materials management, and logistics functions.


Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive supply chain leadership experience in manufacturing environments.
  • Proven success leading Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) or Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes.
  • Strong background in production planning, materials planning, and supply chain execution.
  • Experience aligning demand, supply, and production capacity in complex manufacturing environments.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Operations, and Engineering leadership teams.
  • Strong ERP and planning systems experience including MRP-based environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve service levels, inventory performance, and supply chain reliability.
  • Experience leading teams and driving organizational change.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or MBA preferred.

Job Summary


The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and modifying drawings per specifications and customer requirements. Prepare/maintain accurate catalog drawings and digital library for website. Work closely with Division Engineer, Sales, Production and Quality Control to ensure the product is built according to the latest part or shop drawings.


Job Locations


  • This position will be based out of our plant in Northlake, TX.


Job Responsibilities


  • Create Shop Drawings of products using 2D or 3D drafting
  • Create special manufacturing drawings for immediate production
  • Adhere to customer (Internal and External) volumes, timelines and expectations
  • Prepare, modify, and maintain accurate catalog drawings from existing and new products for production and Quality Control
  • Prepare product assembly or shop drawings for existing/new products as needed for sales staff and special drawings for plant projects as needed
  • Update/maintain digital database, i.e. Autodesk vault, cloud server, hard-copies and engineering documents
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed


Job Requirements


  • 2+ years of relevant experience with AutoCAD/Autodesk Inventor
  • High school diploma or equivalent required/Associates Degree preferred
  • Must possess the ability to read and interpret sketches, construction, and civil plans
  • Ability to review and understand contract drawings and specifications
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Must be detail orientated and able to handle several projects at once with minimum help or guidelines from department from start to finish

Summary:

The process engineer role leads the design, optimization, validation, and continuous improvement of complex manufacturing processes in regulated environments such as nutritional production. This role provides technical leadership, ensures regulatory compliance (FDA, GMP, ISO 13485), and drives operational excellence, product quality, and cost efficiency. This role serves as a subject matter expert (SME) and mentors’ other roles while collaborating cross-functionally to support business objectives.


Your primary activities will include but are not limited to:

  • Design, develop, and continuously improve manufacturing processes, equipment, and technologies to ensure safety, quality, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Serve as the technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for critical manufacturing processes, equipment, and automation systems.

  • Monitor and improve manufacturing KPIs, including OEE, scrap rate, cycle time, and overall productivity.
  • Lead capital projects, including equipment selection, procurement, installation, commissioning, and qualification.
  • Evaluate and implement automation, digitalization, and advanced process control solutions to enhance manufacturing performance.
  • Assess supplier and contract manufacturer processes and support vendor qualification activities, as required.
  • Lead risk management activities, including FMEA, hazard analysis, and control plans, to ensure product safety and compliance.
  • Identify, analyze, and redesign manufacturing and business processes to eliminate waste, reduce cost, and improve safety and quality.

You’ll need the following (minimum qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in process improvement, operational excellence, or related leadership roles required.
  • 4+ years of experience in regulated manufacturing (medical device, pharmaceutical, or nutraceutical) preferred.
  • Professional certification in Lean, Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt), or equivalent required.
  • Proven track record of leading successful improvement projects with measurable outcomes.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable strategies.

A reasonable estimate of the current base hourly/salary range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill level, experience, and/or education.
