Our Collins Aerospace York, NE site is a manufacturer of highly engineered precision components supporting both commercial and military customers. Manufactured components are used primarily in generators and Ram Air Turbines (RAT) used for aircraft emergency power generation. Our Ram Air Turbines save lives, over 2,600 lives.
Collins York is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. As a CNC Machinist, you will operate CNC lathes , mills, grinders, and other specialized equipment to convert raw materials into precision semi-finished goods. You will also perform finish work and marking on piece parts at various stages of production. All work is done in a clean, climate controlled facility where we put safety and quality first in everything we do.
What You Will Do:
• You will operate CNC lathes , mills, grinders and other specialized CNC and manual equipment and/or perform finish work and marking of piece parts in various stages of production.
• You will be expected to set-up and run machines on a wide variety of operations involving multiple machines that convert raw materials to precision semi-finished goods within print tolerance specification.
• You will be required to obtain inspection certification through on-the-job training & testing.
3rd Shift: Sunday - Thursday, 11:00 pm – 7:00 AM
Training Schedule : Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 3:00 pm for ~90 days.

- The Plant Quality Manager will be responsible for coordinating activities required to direct and control the organization's activities impacting quality as delivered to our customers for the JCI Airside Center of Excellence (ACE) in our York, PA facility.
- They are responsible for the Quality Management System in the facility and will continuously monitor/improve the system.
- The job function covers all operational aspects of the facility; they will manage all quality efforts relating to assembly areas in a cost-effective manner and in accordance with specified business requirements.

Precision Custom Components (PCC) is seeking a talented Quality Control Supervisor (2nd shift) with NDE/NDT oversight (SNT‑TC‑1A environment) to join our team. This is an on-site position reporting to our manufacturing facility in York, PA.

As a Quality Control Supervisor, you are responsible for the planning, coordination, and direction of manufacturing quality activities within our Quality Department. This includes supervising and coordinating training of an hourly union workforce to meet required quality, budget, and production standards for the shift/area assigned. This role also requires strong cross-shift communication to ensure consistent inspection policy and execution.
Essential Duties of the Quality Control Supervisor:
Leadership, Scheduling & Workforce Coordination
- Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to hourly union personnel; make work assignments and ensure coverage to meet production priorities.
- Establish, define, and coordinate shift work assignments in relation to contractual requirements, personnel qualifications, production schedules, and skill capabilities.
- Monitor performance and efficiency; take initiative to correct deficiencies and drive accountability.
- Enforce company work rules and implement disciplinary action when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records related to department/shift activities.
NDE / NDT Program Execution (SNT-TC-1A)
- Coordinate the execution of NDE activities to support company production; PCC methods include VT, MT, PT, UT, RT.
- Coordinate the execution of dimensional inspection activities: PCC methods include standard handheld tools, laser inspection, Faro Arm, machine tool
- Ensure technicians/inspectors are properly qualified to conduct required testing and inspection and that necessary equipment is available, maintained, and ready for use. Work with Level III and Dimensional Examiner personnel to coordinate training, testing, and oversight of inspectors and technicians.
- Adequately document the NDE and inspection processes to prevent delays due to errors or omissions (traceability, equipment status, results, and dispositions).
- Assist in fabrication support by performing/overseeing the inspections and tests required to ensure quality requirements are maintained.
Cross-Functional & External Coordination
- Act as a coordinator for the Director, Quality Assurance in NDT testing/dimensional inspection-related activities with customers and internal associates.
- Attend and participate in production control meetings to ensure NDE/inspection support aligns to established priorities.
- Provide timely communication to all shifts regarding inspection policy, production needs, and implementation of directives tied to quality requirements.
Safety & Continuous Improvement
- Educate the workforce on performing all activities in accordance with established safety practices; support resolution of safety deficiencies in the department.
- Assist in development of improved inspection and testing methods that increase efficiency and reduce cost.
- Report equipment breakdowns and coordinate repairs to maintain production schedules.
Education/Qualifications:
Required
- Associate’s degree in Engineering/Science (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 2-5 years in quality assurance and/or NDE experience.
- Minimum 2-5 years of supervisory/management experience; demonstrated ability to organize and direct work assignments effectively.
- General knowledge of industrial processes associated with heavy manufacturing, and thorough knowledge of measurement methods and NDE procedures.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents; strong understanding of acceptance criteria and documentation discipline.
- Excellent computer skills required, including working knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
Preferred
- Current or prior ASNT NDE Level II certification in one or more methods (VT/MT/PT/UT/RT).
- Experience coordinating RT activities and related record retention/traceability requirements (as applicable).

The Shipping & Receiving Supervisor is concerned with planning, organizing, coordinating, and directing the:

- Initiate receipts of direct/drop shipments within the ERP System.
- Coordinate receipt and tracking of GFE/GFM among the warehousepersons, the Engineering Department and other functions within the organization, including matching PCC assigned part numbers on receipt records to GFE/GFM lot stickers.
- Initiate action upon receipt of material that requires receipt inspection or verification prior to release.
- Perform monthly cycle counting and annual physical inventory audit
- Provide metric reports for timely receiving, storage, and shipment
- Develop the use of technology to aid with speed and accuracy of department job functions
- Properly segregate and handle hazardous and flammable materials
- Monitor and control material with expiration dates
- Utilize kanban and other lean tools to improve workflow practices
- Coordinate tracking and restocking of equipment, tools, and gauges
- Work toward tracking of work in process (WIP) items
Education/Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Two to five years of experience in manufacturing operation, preferably in the area of shipping, receiving, and warehousing activities, or the equivalent.
- Excellent computer skills required. Must be capable of working with ERP systems and Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to supervise people, and successfully interface with multiple functional areas.Must organize input/data from multiple persons into a final result which is consistent with Company objectives.
