We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Engineering Intern to join our team at our manufacturing facility in Dubuque, IA. In this role, you will support electrical engineering staff in the design, testing, analysis, and improvement of electrical systems, components, and products. This internship provides hands-on experience with real-world electrical engineering applications and the opportunity to apply academic knowledge in a professional environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist electrical engineers with the design, development, and testing of circuits, control systems, and electronic components.
• Perform data collection, signal analysis, and documentation to support ongoing electrical engineering projects.
• Create, update, and review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, PCB layouts, and technical reports.
• Conduct research on electrical components, emerging technologies, and engineering methods as assigned.
• Support troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and quality checks on electrical systems or prototypes.
• Participate in design reviews, project meetings, and technical presentations.
• Follow company safety procedures, electrical standards (e.g., NEC, IEC), and engineering best practices.

Education and/or Experience

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with electrical engineering tools, laboratory equipment, and simulation software.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with tools such as MATLAB, LTspice, PSpice, Simulink, LabVIEW, Python, or CAD for electrical design (e.g., Altium, KiCad, AutoCAD Electrical).
• Hands-on project, lab, or internship experience in circuits, electronics, power systems, or embedded systems.
• Knowledge of electrical safety standards, PCB design principles, or relevant technical concepts (e.g., signal processing, control systems, microcontrollers)

PURPOSE AND SCOPE

The Quality Manager is responsible for building and maintaining a robust quality management system within the Dubuque, IA manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this role will interface daily with all levels of the organization, from front line employees to executive staff. The Quality Manager will ensure areas of the facility that are already ISO certified remain compliant, while expanding the certification to remaining areas within the plant. This position will drive operations excellence principles across all functions to support continuous improvement in processes & performance metrics.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Follows through on set processes and ensures adherence to best production practices and product quality standards.

Reviews engineering drawings & specifications and ensures consistent compliance to those specifications.

Provides information to Engineering & Purchasing regarding repeated quality issues in terms of production or purchased components.

Develops & implements quality & process improvement plans, programs, and procedures using continuous improvement techniques such as 5 Whys, 7 Step Problem Solving, PDCA, and other analysis methods.

Coordinates the investigation of problems and develops disposition & corrective actions for recurring discrepancies.

Works with technical customer service team to address manufacturing errors discovered in the field.

Works with production leadership and individual front line employees to address internal rejections found within the manufacturing process.

Performs audits as required against the product, product components and subassembly areas. Uses independent judgment for structural and functional aspects of the product.

Performs process audits of production and support functions to identify gaps and validate effectiveness of improvement activities.

Ensures ISO compliance for those areas of the facility where ISO certification already exists. Develops a plan to implement ISO certification in areas where it does not already exist.

Working in conjunction with the Supply Chain team; develops, deploys, and maintains the supply quality development process.

Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools and methodology in the implementation of manufacturing excellence initiatives.

Audit business processes to ensure compliance to the Quality Management System.

Facilitate employee engagement in problem solving activities, and help teach problem solving methodologies throughout the organization.

Develops & prepare accurate data & reviews summaries with Operations and Engineering teams.

Lead quality meetings.

Provide descriptions, documentation, and recommendations to purchasing regarding quality concerns.

Working with the Supply Chain Manager, visit and audit key suppliers to drive improvements in supplier performance of quality, cost, and delivery.

Ensure proper & timely disposition of vendor parts to be returned.

Manages and maintains quality database, including monitoring status of each QIR.

Conduct trend analysis of quality concerns to establish strategic program direction.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree and minimum of 5 years of quality management experience, OR equivalent combination of education and experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Six Sigma certification or equivalent problem-solving experience is required.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

• Working knowledge of JD Edwards or similar ERP.
• Proficient use of MS Office
• Experience leading and implementing Lean Manufacturing Principles.

PURPOSE.

Under direction of the Warehouse and Logistics Manager, this position is responsible for the monitoring and accuracy of all RiteHite Warehouse inventory. This position will also aid in establishing the Warehouse Ready initiative.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following- Other duties may be assigned

Generate cycle count reports, summarizing cycle results by part number, by location and by facility.

This position will have indirect authority to assign personnel to count.

This position will have direct authority to train warehouse personnel, and provide feedback on improvements, as needed.

Entering of all cycle counts and reconciling inventory adjustments with appointed Opco representatives (planners, buyers, supervisors and operations leadership in a timely fashion.

Communicate errors or process breakdowns in real time and coordinate efforts to resolve issues regarding inventory controls or practices-

Propose and implement inventory processes as needed, with accompanied support documentation-

Investigate cycle adjustments that exceed a predetermined tolerance level and report and document any findings to appropriate personnel.

Maintain Stock-Out Repon integrity and work with appropriate personnel to reconcile BOM errors-

Work with all OPCO personnel (buyers, planners, supervisors and ops leadership) to establish shelf allocation, replenish quantities and delivery frequencies.

Maintain regular communication with purchasing, planning, engineering and manufacturing to ensure inventory processes are followed and inconsistencies are identified.

Work with appropriate production support personnel to identify reasons for inventory over-issues, communicate and coordinate corrections as needed-

Develop and maintain accurate documentation of Warehouse inventory procedures and processes-

Facilitate the engagement of manufacturing personnel, support personnel and engineering personnel in how they affect the overall inventory process-

Perform cycle counts-

Motivate manufacturing personnel by soliciting input in developing inventory benchmarks and goals that are consistent with the company's strategic plan-

Assist in development and initiation of the warehouse ready initiative-

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Professional and effective communications with manufacturing, support, engineering and management personnel of inventory processes and/or issues.

QUALIFICATIONS-

This individual will need to be proficient in Excel spreadsheet and Word documents. Experience in JDE El will be helpful.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE-

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a 2 year college or technical school; or 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience-

• Own day-to-day production performance across assigned operations, ensuring achievement of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost targets.
• Lead multi-shift production teams through clear expectations, leader standard work, and disciplined management routines.
• Establish and sustain tiered accountability systems that drive visibility, problem-solving, and rapid escalation.

Safety & Quality Excellence

• Champion a strong safety culture where safety is a core value and operational decisions reflect that priority.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and quality requirements while driving proactive risk reduction.
• Partner with Quality and Engineering to reduce defects, rework, scrap, and customer escapes through structured root cause analysis.

Rite-Hiteassemblers are responsible for the assembling, packaging, and shipping of Engineered Solutions Group products per customer specifications which meet or exceed quality standards. Some of the duties include material handling, assisting order entry with ship dates, part numbers, assisting in maintaining inventory levels and cycle counting as well as selecting, inspecting, packaging and shipping daily orders.
