MISSION:

Qualifications:

Associates Degree in EET, MET, Mechatronics, or similar curriculum OR 3 to 5 years experience in Industrial Maintenance OR Military Experience in a maintenance discipline.

- Follows all Safety rules and regulations for a safe work environment

-Coordinates and participates in PMs

Duties and Responsibilities

As an Air Interdiction Agent (AIA) you will perform aviation-based law enforcement operations for the detection, prevention, interdiction, and apprehension of terrorists, terrorist weapons, and other contraband and persons from illegally entering or attacking the United States. Typical duties include:

  • Conducting air patrol, surveillance, and pursuit activities related to the interdiction of smuggled contraband via land vehicles, aircraft, or vessels.
  • Monitoring behavior patterns and activities of suspect persons, vehicles, or vessels believed to be engaged in illegal activities.
  • Collecting, refining, and analyzing strategic and tactical intelligence.
  • Supporting search and rescue and humanitarian efforts.

Salary and Benefits

Begin your career as an Air Interdiction Agent (AIA) and make up to $85,270 to - $110,846 per year based on your qualifications for the GS-11 grade level and possible extra compensation based on your duty location (see below).

Recruitment Incentive:New hires may be eligible to receive a one-time Recruitment Incentive payout of $10,000 after completing Federal Law Enforcement Training Academy (FLETC) (1 year service agreement will need to be completed) (Recruitment Incentive is only available to new Federal employees as described in 5 CFR 575.102. Qualifications

Experience:You qualify for the GS-11 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized professional aviation experience performing duties such as:

  • Flying as a Pilot-in-Command or sole manipulator in an airplane and helicopter in all environments of flight, including night, poor weather, unfavorable terrain, low altitudes, or speed.
  • Evaluating information rapidly and making judicious decisions promptly during in-flight operations.
  • Developing strategies and coordinating aircraft and ground assets.
  • Using information systems and databases to conduct information surveys, queries, update files and disseminate information.
  • Experience may include Operation of an aircraft as Captain, Pilot in Command, Aircraft Commander, First Officer, Certified Flight Instructor, Second in Command, or Co-pilot.

Hiring Minimums:

Certification & Ratings: A current FAA Commercial or ATP Pilot Certification with one of the following ratings:

  • Dual Rated: Airplane (Single-engine land or multi-engine land) with instrument rating AND Rotorcraft Helicopter with instrument rating.
  • Airplane Rated: Airplane (Single-engine land or multi-engine land) with instrument.
  • Helicopter Rated: Rotorcraft Helicopter with instrument rating.
  • Equivalent military rating of the above at the time of application (eligibility based on military flight experience must provide official orders, forms or logbooks showing their status as a rated military pilot).

Flight Hours: Pilot Enter on Duty minimums are 1500 flight hours; (up to 500 hours can be waived, reducing the pilot enter on duty minimums to 1000 hours.

FAA Class 2 medical required for assessment dated within the last 12 calendar months; FAA Class 1, FAA Class 2 or Military medical flight clearance dated within the last 12 months qualifies to start the pre-employment process for the AIA position.

These hours may be credited towards satisfying the ""Total flight time"" 1,500 flight hour requirement only. Position Overview

Brava Roof Tile is seeking an experienced and highly organized Laboratory Manager to lead the development and operation of our new testing laboratories at our McDonough, Georgia facility. This role is responsible not only for overseeing daily laboratory activities but also for building and scaling the lab capabilities from the ground up to support R&D, production, quality control, and customer testing initiatives.


The Laboratory Manager will play a critical leadership role in establishing both the Physical Properties Testing and Analytical Testing laboratories, including laboratory layout and setup, equipment installation and commissioning, test method development and validation, and implementation of safe and efficient laboratory processes. This position will also lead the recruitment, hiring, and development of laboratory technicians and help build a high-performing technical team to support long-term business growth.


The role ensures the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of all testing activities supporting R&D, product development, quality assurance, and certification programs. This is an ideal opportunity for a hands-on leader with a strong technical background in plastics and building materials, excellent organizational and project management skills, and a passion for building laboratory excellence and a strong safety culture.


This position reports to the Director of Material Engineering and will lead a highly talented team of laboratory technicians and technical staff.

Key Responsibilities

40% Laboratory Build-Out & Operations Management

  • Lead the establishment and day-to-day operation of the Physical Properties and Analytical Testing laboratories at the McDonough, GA facility.
  • Drive the development of a state-of-the-art laboratory, including layout planning, equipment specification, procurement, installation, qualification, and commissioning.
  • Supervise daily laboratory activities, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Improve laboratory throughput by identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate complex laboratory projects to support R&D, production, and quality objectives.
  • Develop optimal scheduling processes to ensure timely sample preparation and testing.
  • Monitor laboratory KPIs, identify trends and potential roadblocks, and implement corrective actions.
  • Track equipment performance and reliability using Statistical Process Control (SPC) and preventive maintenance strategies.
  • Partner with R&D to evaluate and implement new analytical technologies and testing capabilities.
  • Collaborate closely with R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to understand evolving testing requirements and support business growth.

30% Sample Characterization & Data Integrity

  • Support analysis of recycled polyolefins, elastomers, inorganic fillers, pigments, and additives used in roof tile and paver products.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and traceability for all testing activities.
  • Develop, review, and maintain technical documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, equipment manuals, and method validation protocols.
  • Evaluate and align laboratory test methods with ASTM and industry standards; update procedures as needed.
  • Review and approve test results, investigate discrepancies or outliers, and drive root-cause problem solving.
  • Provide clear interpretation of data to support material selection, process optimization, and product development decisions.

30% Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Build, hire, and lead a high-performing team of laboratory technicians and technical staff.

What We are Looking For


  • Bachelor’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Science & Engineering, Chemistry, or a related discipline required. Masters or PhD is preferred.
  • Ph.D. with 3+ years, M.S. with 7+ years, or B.S. with 10+ years of laboratory testing experience in polymeric, composite, or building materials environments.
  • Minimum 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a laboratory setting.
  • Strong familiarity with ASTM testing standards, analytical instrumentation, and property evaluation of thermoplastics or building materials.
  • Hands-on experience with analytical techniques such as FTIR, DSC, TGA, DMA, EDX, rheology, and related characterization methods.
  • Experience with weathering and durability testing (e.g., Xenon Arc, accelerated aging).

Job Details

REQUIREMENTS:
- 4-8+ years of experience in civil engineering, land development, site design; PE or on track to obtain it
- AutoCad Civil 3D proficiency

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design & project management for land development projects; Coordinate with clients, outside consultants, project team members, government/municipal officials, and permitting
- Prepare a complete set of construction documents for multiple project types in various jurisdictions with assistance from civil engineering staff (Zoning Issues, Stormwater Design, Subdivision and Commercial Site Layouts, Project Permitting, Project Schedules and Budgets, Preliminary Plats, SWPPP, Grading, Drainage, Water, and Sewer Systems)
- Lead and support civil design for land development projects, including stormwater, utility, and site layout
- Manage project schedules, budgets, documentation, and QA/QC processes
- Mentor junior engineers and designers while continuing to develop your leadership skills
- Support construction administration, prepare permitting packages, and troubleshoot field issues with practical solutions

Microworks America, Inc., a world leader in the polyester film industry, located 35 miles southeast of Atlanta in Covington, GA, is seeking an experienced Environmental, Health and Safety Manager.


Reporting to the Production Director, this role is responsible for leading and advancing a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible manufacturing operation. The EHS Manager will develop, implement, and oversee all safety, health, and environmental programs while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.


JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA and applicableregulations.
  • Manage environmental compliance programs, industrial hygiene initiatives, and EPA reporting.
  • Lead the site’s emergency response team and safety programs.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to promote a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement.
  • Provide technical guidance on equipment design, fire prevention, hazardous materials handling, and safety standards.
  • Drive a culture of safety through behavior-based safety training and engagement.
  • Investigate accidents, injuries, and property damage; prepare required internal and regulatory reports; implement corrective actions; and manage workers' compensation claims.
  • Maintain chemical inventory and hazardous materials documentation.
  • Develop and conduct new-hire safety orientation and ongoing safety training programs.
  • Lead and facilitate the plant safety committee.
  • Interface with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies.
  • Lead and maintain the plant’s Environmental Management System (ISO 14001:2015), ensuring continued certification.


JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineering, EHS, or related engineering field required.
  • Minimum 5 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and environmental regulations.
  • Experience with EHS management systems and regulatory auditing.
  • Experience maintaining ISO 14001 certification preferred.
  • CSP and/or CHMM certification preferred.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt highly desired.
  • HAZWOPER training preferred.
  • Experience working with hazardous chemicals.
  • Experience in a multi-shift continuous operation environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, including the ability to create reports, documents, presentations and spreadsheets in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
