Divisional Plant Engineer Job Duties & Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on technical leadership to multiple plant locations driving improvements in reliability, process control, and other pertinent KPI’s.
  • Create necessary CAD drawings for equipment layout, process control, fabrication and assembly of components.
  • Familiar with pneumatic, hydraulic, steam, and boiler systems and controls.
  • Must have exceptional operational knowledge of process equipment and the ability to make logical decisions concerning the operation, maintenance and modification of process equipment with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with project management and implementation from the initial planning stages to completion on time and within budget.
  • Develop project scopes, budgets, and timelines for capital and expense projects with input from stakeholders.
  • Prepare project justifications and formal authorization requests for capital projects generally over $100,000.
  • Commission new production equipment, controls, and processes, and monitor modifications and upgrades.
  • Familiar with control loops and control strategies to support troubleshooting and optimization of existing controls and processes.

  • Where appropriate, select and supervise external contractors and consultants to ensure they meet the requirements for function, cost, timing, and quality.

  • Make observations and take measurements directly, as well as collect and interpret data from other technical and operating staff involved to develop and implement process improvement.
  • Works with maintenance departments to develop proactive maintenance procedures and programs for the facilities and process equipment.
  • Travel 25% to the other two locations (Sylacauga, Alabama & Franklin, Ohio). Expected travel requirement is minimum of 30%, potentially higher during project implementations.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for their assigned manufacturing processes. Through input from the customer, plant staff, and production employees the Manufacturing Engineer will review process controls, emphasize continuous improvement through Lean Manufacturing methodology and Kaizen activities, participate in the development of cell layouts, set up reduction (SMED), lead time reduction, improve productivity through waste reduction. In addition, the Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for achieving product target cost, improved efficiency, identifying possible production problems for existing products within their scope of accountability.

The Manufacturing Engineer will be involved with helping to determine project capital needs, launch strategies, project timing, process flows, labor and machine standards as well as proposed plans for changes to the process, equipment, molds, and tooling to ensure reliability and compatibility with existing standards and systems.

The EHS Compliance Specialist is a critical, high-visibility role responsible for the leadership, ownership, and continuous improvement of all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs. The Role

The Assistant Project Manager (APM) owns and facilitates tasks as outlined by the Project Manager or Project Executive, within the projects assigned.


Assistant Project Managers provide support and communication for successful project completion. APM’s provide a focus on the day-to-day details of these projects, including relaying correspondence between field and office (both internally and externally), ordering equipment, and managing project documentation.   • Work with the department leader on business/personal development plan
  • Develop submittal packages and check for accuracy compared to drawings and building standards.

Our client is looking for a Senior Estimator who will lead cost estimating for large electrical infrastructure projects. You’ll prepare competitive bids, mentor junior estimators, and collaborate with project managers, operations, and subcontractors. This role demands strong technical, analytical, and leadership skills.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO

  • Lead take-offs, scope reviews, and cost estimates for major projects.
  • Prepare and review labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and contracts to identify risks and requirements.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings and develop strategic bid proposals.
  • Manage subcontractor pricing and selection.
  • Maintain accurate project data in Excel, JDE, and SharePoint.
  • Track historical costs and create cost reports and bid comparisons.
  • Mentor junior estimators and ensure high-quality, accurate estimates.
  • Collaborate across teams to support project planning and execution.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of estimating experience in electrical construction (transmission, substation, or distribution).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Project; familiarity with P6.
  • Strong knowledge of cost analysis, risk assessment, and contract review.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and lead teams.

Must be able to work for a US based company without requiring visa sponsorship.


COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • Salary range of $75,000 to $95,000 based on experience and qualifications, as well as geographical market and business considerations.

RNGD is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the execution of large, complex infrastructure projects or multiple mid‑sized projects simultaneously. This role serves as the company’s primary management representative responsible for cost control, schedule execution, team leadership, and client satisfaction.


The Senior Project Manager will work closely with field leadership, preconstruction, and executive leadership to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and aligned with RNGD standards and values.



Responsibilities

  • Provide active management of one large infrastructure project or multiple mid‑sized projects
  • Maintain full responsibility for cost management, forecasting, and gross profit targets
  • Plan and allocate staff resources in coordination with Superintendents and field leadership
  • Direct and support Superintendents in executing scope of work to RNGD standards
  • Oversee project documentation, reporting, and document control
  • Coordinate estimate reviews and bid strategy with Preconstruction/Estimating teams
  • Support pipeline health and future revenue goals through proactive preconstruction involvement
  • Develop, mentor, and evaluate Project Engineers and other assigned team members
  • Ensure adherence to project and company KPIs related to safety, quality, schedule, process, and client satisfaction
  • Serve as a key point of contact for owners, clients, and internal stakeholders


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or similar field strongly preferred
  • 5–10 years of Project Management experience in infrastructure construction or related heavy civil experience: Water, sewer, storm drainage, Utility construction, Mass grading, soil stabilization, or soil importing
  • Strong cost and schedule management capability
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Teacher’s mindset with a passion for developing people

  • Strong judgment and ability to manage complexity across multiple projects
