- Active Overview The Advanced Electronics and Computer Field trains Sailors to maintain, operate, and repair some of the Navy's most sophisticated electronics and computing systems, including radar, communications, navigation, local area networks, weapons fire control, and Aegis combat systems.
ETs and FCs form the backbone of a ship's Combat Systems department aboard carriers, cruisers, destroyers, and other surface combatants, as well as at repair and technical activities ashore.
Key Responsibilities Serve as an Electronics Technician (ET) or Fire Controlman (FC) after training, based on performance and Navy needs; as an ET, maintain and repair radar, communication, and navigation equipment including transmitters, receivers, displays, and shipboard communications suites such as SATCOM and HF; as an FC, operate, maintain, and repair fire control radars, computers, large screen displays, local area networks, weapon control consoles, and automatic gun systems; troubleshoot complex electronic and electro mechanical faults using technical documentation, test equipment, and established procedures; maintain configuration control, documentation, and logs that support inspections, certifications, and combat system readiness.
What to Expect Hands on technical work that blends classroom, computer based training, and intensive lab practice; frequent troubleshooting under time pressure to restore mission critical combat systems and communications; strict adherence to safety procedures, configuration control, technical documentation, and test routines; team based maintenance and watchstanding afloat and ashore, often on rotating shifts to support around the clock operations; progressive responsibility as you qualify on systems, earn Navy Enlisted Classifications, and advance in rate.
Work Environment Assignments aboard surface combatants such as aircraft carriers, Aegis cruisers and destroyers, and amphibious ships, as well as at shore based repair and technical facilities; daily work in combat systems spaces, radar rooms, communications centers, electronics shops, and shipboard network spaces; a mix of lab style environments and shipboard spaces with noise, ladders, confined areas, and occasional exposure to heat or weather when working on topside equipment.
Pathways, Training & Advancement Recruit Training followed by Apprentice Technical Training at Great Lakes, Illinois, covering basic electronics, circuitry, safety, digital theory, microcomputers, fiber optics, test equipment, and troubleshooting; strand training in either the Fire Controlman or Electronics Technician track, with FCs focusing on radar, ballistics, and fire control basics, and ETs focusing on communications suites and radar systems; follow on A School and platform or system specific C Schools, often with college credit recommended by the American Council on Education; accelerated advancement to E4 upon completion of initial school training and all advancement requirements, with continued promotion based on performance, time in rate, and professional development.
Enlist under the Advanced Electronics and Computer Field program, with final placement into the Electronics Technician or Fire Controlman rating during initial training at Great Lakes, based on performance and Navy needs; maintain AECF eligibility throughout training in order to retain any accelerated advancement benefits; fleet conversion into ET or FC from another rating may be possible for qualified Sailors, subject to screening and community manning.
Qualifications All Navy jobs require meeting general enlistment or commissioning standards, which typically include: Eligibility to serve in the United States Navy, which may involve United States citizenship or other legal residency and work status, depending on the program and current law and policy A high school diploma or equivalent for enlisted positions, and a bachelor's or qualifying professional degree for officer positions Meeting age limits that vary by program and are set in law and Navy policy.
Some communities have more restrictive age ranges Meeting medical, vision, and dental standards, including body composition and physical fitness requirements, with some jobs requiring more demanding standards Meeting character and conduct standards, including background screening Achieving required test scores for your program, such as the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery for enlisted roles or officer qualification tests for officer programs Eligibility for a security clearance when required for your rating or designator Additional qualifications can include specific skills, education, licensure, or experience that are unique to a job or community and will be reviewed with you by a recruiter.

About the Role
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and necessary repairs to automobiles, trucks (light and heavy), trailers, vans and forklifts.
- Disassembles and overhauls motors, transmissions, clutches, rear ends and electrical systems.
- Complete all necessary documents, including vehicle records.
- Manage ordering and inventory of parts.
- Will act as a mentor to the class I & II mechanics.

As an Ambassador you are an exceptional colleague who drives sales through connecting with customers and sharing vendor product knowledge to upsell and suggest additional items. You will drive sales by cultivating a repeat clientele and serving as the expert for the vendor/brand/area you represent. You will also regularly communicate specific customer needs and shopping patterns to your leadership team and the vendor community and execute strategic merchandising initiatives for the vendor/brand/area.
Full-time colleagues are typically scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week, while part-time colleagues are typically scheduled 12-24 hours per week. What You Will Do
- Provide an exceptional customer experience by ensuring the customer is always the priority
- Greet customers, make product recommendations, and upsell
- Serve as a liaison between designated vendors and the personal stylists and the store leadership team
- Ensure sales floor is neat, clean, and properly signed for sales and markdowns
- Create and implement best practices to drive sales, turn, and gross margin above company average
- Build brand-specific clientele to support local marketing
- Execute vendor and non-vendor events to increase sales
- Actively plan, organize, and lead customer facing vendor sponsored events with partnership of vendor community, ensuring sales and participation goals are met

The Superintendent serves as a member of the Frontline Operations Team and reports to the General Superintendent. The Superintendent is a keystone role for driving the success of the organization. The Superintendent's primary responsibilities are to ensure safety, quality, delivery, production, costs, and training objectives while also performing hands-on duties on the job site. This is a career opportunity with significant advancement opportunities. Heavy travel is required for this role.

ResponsibilitiesEssential Job Functions
- Physically installing geohazard mitigation products as outlined in the job site drawings and/or the standard operating procedures manual.
- Responsible for all crew member's safety.
- Planning and managing projects with the daily management process, (+QDIPC).
- Monitoring and ensuring project performance, including duration and cost variance from budget.
- Compliance including daily logs, checklists, photo submissions, as-builts documentation, employee relations, credit card receipts etc.
- Managing and maintaining crew member relations including tracking, documenting performance reviews, development plans, coaching and disciplinary actions.
- Coaching and mentoring technicians.
- Adhering to the PISTOL process, with special focus on pre-construction planning.
- Managing and communicating crew travel appropriately.
- Accountable for equipment daily maintenance, cleanliness, and related documentation.
- Ensure quality and testing programs are adhered to.
- Ensure good teamwork and communication between all functional groups involved on projects.
- Efficient and effective client facing communication skills.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction industry to include: job management, and knowledge of building products and services.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Superintendent required.
- Proven ability to accurately interpret the scope, specification (including blueprints) and timeliness of customer plans, while meeting profitability goals established by the company.
- Ability to motivate teams to produce quality projects within provided deadlines
- Proven ability to simultaneously manage projects and crews.
- Strong communication skills: ability to speak clearly and persuasively in all situations.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally.
- Ability to have schedule flexibility, with or without notice, to accommodate the needs of the business.
- Must have working knowledge of company provided hardware and web-based technology systems.
- Valid driver's license required
- Ability to regularly lift/move up to 100 pounds
- Ability use pneumatic, battery powered or electric tools
- Physically able to hike/travers/work on right of way steep slopes.
- Experience running tracked equipment supported via dozer winch on steep slopes.
- Experience and knowledge of pipeline right of ways.
- Knowledge of equipment specs, ratings and capabilities.
- Knowledge and ability to assess and implement environmental controls.
- Ability to travel extensively
Preferred Qualifications:
- Possess a valid Class A CDL
- Experience in geotechnical construction
- Experience with Safety Protocols and Risk Prevention for Energy Projects
- OQ qualifications preferred.
Work Environment:
- Climates vary in degrees, in tropical to desert environments.
- The noise level in the work environment is moderate and hearing protection is often required.
- Exposure to characteristic construction site dangers.
- Regular heavy lifting (75lbs+) of construction materials on the job site.

Travel: 100% travelling in the Eastern US (Most projects in the Ohio / Pennsylvania Area). Employees are expected to work a 3 weeks on, 1 week off schedule. Because the role is salaried, you are still paid the off week at your base salary.
Compensation: Salary Non-Exempt, $33.07/hr to 39.97/hr. In 2023, the average superintendent totally yearly compensation was over $115,000.
