Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Perform all inpatient and/or outpatient cardiac ultrasound testing that a level I sonographer performs and additionally performs: 2D echo / Doppler exams with bubble study, contrast as well as limited studies for cardiac function, effusion assessment and thrombus assessment, stress echo for ischemia evaluation, stress echo for valve evaluation and ischemia, bike stress echo, structural heart evaluations, research echo protocols, LVAD, TEE without valve modeling, limited echo for cardiac biopsy and echo guided procedures. Provide complex technical care with the use of ultrasound technology for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and provide all necessary documentation and preliminary exam findings.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate of registry approved ultrasound program or equivalent experience according to Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC).

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Must have two (2) years of clinical experience as a cardiac sonographer.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited Cardiac Sonographer program.
Current registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) with RDCS certification or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) with RCS certification.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association is required.
