Job Summary: Surgical technologists work under the direct supervision of a registered nurse / surgeon to facilitate the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures, ensuring that the operating room environment is safe, that equipment functions properly, and that the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety. Surgical technologists possess expertise in the theory and application of sterile and aseptic technique and combine the knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and implementation tools and technologies to facilitate a physician's performance of invasive therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.

Qualifications: Satisfactory completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program or diploma for Operating Room Technologist from Armed Forces required. Previous experience as a Surgical Technologist preferred. Certification by the Association of Surgical Technologist is required. Current CPR Certification required.

Job Summary: Performs a variety of technical duties under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Assists surgeon during operative and invasive procedures. Assures operating suite is adequately prepared for procedure. Ensures all instruments and supplies are clean and sterilize as indicated by procedure. Participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities. Works in conjunction with OR RN Service Line Coordinator in the management of all service line specialty needs. Aids the materials management team in the coordination and management of Service line supplies, instrumentation and equipment. Helps OR staff RN service line coordinator and Assistant managers in the editing of "preference cards" when necessary. Helps with new staff hires and their orientation to the department. Works with Surgical technology students to ensure appropriate scheduling and completeness of syllabus requirements.

Completion of 12th grade (high school) or equivalent. Satisfactory completion of accredited surgical technologist program or diploma for operating room technician from Armed Forces required. Certification by the association of surgical technologist should be required for the certified surgical tech position. Required License / Certifications: ST& BLS. Minimum 2 years OR experience in specialty required; 5 years OR experience in specialty preferred.

Job Summary: To perform diversified duties in the Cardiac Cath Lab and Hybrid OR, assisting the cardiologist intra-procedurally, including preparation and positioning of patients, operation of x-ray equipment in radiological and fluoroscopic procedures, scrubbing, circulating, monitoring, and recording hemodynamic parameters according to policy. Must successfully complete corporate and department-specific skill validations and maintain core competencies.

Core Competencies: The CVT will be competent to monitor and scrub diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, intermediate and complex interventional cardiac procedures, STEMI, diagnostic and interventional arteriograms. Responsibilities also include STEMI on-call team coverage and precepting new or existing employees. The CVT Staff may progress to CVT Intermediate by completing skill validations and maintaining competencies to monitor and scrub 2 of 5 Additional Specialty Areas. The CVT Staff may progress to CVT Advanced by completing skill validations and maintaining competencies to monitor and scrub 4 of 5 Additional Specialty Areas. Additional Specialty Areas**:

Ultrasound Technologist Roles and Responsibilities:

- To perform various ultrasound procedures, including education and preparation of the patient and operation of ultrasound equipment.
- To perform general and vascular ultrasound procedures, as well as portable ultrasound exams in the operating room or special care areas within the hospital and at outpatient centers as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Graduate of an accredited ultrasound technology program (or if candidate was grandfathered for certification prior to 2010).
- Registered in both General and Vascular Sonography by ARDMS, ARRT, or CCI (or obtain both within 12 months of hire).
- Ongoing participation in continuing education.

As part of this team, you'll staff the park's First Aid office and respond to medical calls on property. You'll also:

• Processes and completes departmental paperwork thoroughly, accurately and legibly as well as maintains high degree of confidentiality.
• Maintains all first aid facilities, vehicles, and equipment in a clean and sanitary condition. Performs cleaning duties according to OSHA and Park Blood-Borne Pathogen Requirements.
• Performs and interprets pre-employment urine drug screens. Collects and processes urine specimens for post-incident, reasonable cause and random drug screens.
• Assists with weekly, monthly, quarterly safety inspections and immediately reports hazardous conditions. Documents findings as directed.
• Assists First Aid Supervisor in random skills testing and auditing throughout the season.

Education:

High school graduate or equivalent. Vocational training preferred.

 

License or Certification:

Valid driver’s license. Gas Fitter 1 license required in applicable states. CFC recovery certification required in applicable states. Canada: Trade license or equivalent depending on trade.

 

Experience:

Typically requires 2-4 years of HVAC experience. Refrigeration experience preferred.

 

Equivalency:

Directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience and/or competencies may be considered in place of the above requirements.
