Loma Linda University Faculty Medical Group, Department of Pediatrics, has an immediate need for a full-time Assistant/Associate Professor of Pediatric Infectious Disease. The Division of Pediatric Infectious Disease is a small group of very committed Physicians, looking forward to the growth and expansion of their Division over the next few years. The ideal candidate will have an MD, MD-PhD, MBBS, or DO, be board certified in Pediatrics and BE/BC in Pediatric Infectious Disease and have a strong clinical and/or research interest.
Responsibilities include providing 3-4 months of inpatient consultation services, outpatient clinic services, and administrative assistance for a Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases. We provide educational training to Medical Students, General Pediatric Residents, and Pediatric Fellows involved in programs through Loma Linda University Health. Candidates with interest in areas of HIV care, transplant infectious disease, clinical or bench research are encouraged to apply.

Overview: Loma Linda University Faculty Medical Group, Department of Psychiatry is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible psychiatrist to join our growing behavioral health team in a unique and rewarding role within our Crisis Stabilization/EMPATH Unit—a 12-bed, fast-paced program designed to provide immediate, compassionate psychiatric care to patients in crisis.
An EmPATH unit is a specialized, calming space within a hospital designed to provide rapid mental health assessment and treatment for individuals experiencing a crisis. It differs from a traditional emergency room by prioritizing a soothing environment that reduces anxiety and promotes healing and other clinical sites.
This is a meaningful opportunity to serve a diverse and underserved population in the Inland Empire region, while working in a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary environment at one of Southern California’s leading academic medical centers and a Level I Trauma Center.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide direct psychiatric care to patients in the Crisis Stabilization/EMPATH Unit
· Participate in collaborative care with Emergency Department teams, medical and surgical specialties, and social services
· Engage in consultation-liaison psychiatry as needed, including floor consults
· Supervise and teach psychiatry residents, medical students, and other trainees
· Collaborate with a team of nurse practitioners, social workers, case managers, and peer support specialists to ensure seamless transitions of care

The Department of Plastic Surgery at Loma Linda University Faculty Medical Group in Southern California is seeking board eligible/board certified plastic surgeons to join our group due to unprecedented growth in our region.
A qualified candidate will be ABPS board-certified or board-eligible, having completed residency training in an accredited plastic surgery training program. We have opportunities for surgeons interested in multiple adult subspecialty areas including microsurgery for breast and limb reconstruction, as well as aesthetic and body contouring procedures, and complex wound care. Additional subspecialty fellowship training in breast microsurgery, or microsurgery is anticipated. We are looking for someone with excellent clinical skills and an interest in research and innovation, along with an interest in teaching. The surgeon will be a full-time faculty member of our Faculty Medical Group, contributing to the education of both our integrated plastic surgery residents and medical students, and may perform the full spectrum of our specialty.
The plastic surgery residency program at Loma Linda University was one of the five original integrated residency programs approved in 1995. It has enjoyed continuous accreditation since inception.

Apart from running a very active consultation service at the Loma Linda University Medical Center and outpatient clinics at our Faculty Medical Offices, we also provide outpatient and inpatient services at the Riverside University Health System Medical Center in Moreno Valley. Successful candidates will be expected to provide services at all locations. Currently, inpatient services are shared between all physicians, and we are growing our division to reduce the call requirement per physician. The Division of Rheumatology is currently comprised of 5.5 faculty, with plans to grow to 9 full-time faculty, and offers robust faculty development and physician wellness offerings. Some recent examples are: physician vitality; financial planning for physicians; physician wellness; physician feedback and preparing learners to get feedback; positive psychology for the physician; getting involved in clinical trials; billing, coding and documentation; diversity, equity and inclusion in medical education; an all abilities ropes course; a pottery class; a painting class; local hike; and a yoga class. In addition to division-specific faculty development, Loma Linda University School of Medicine provides free education-related CME to support our faculty through the promotions process. Loma Linda faculty have access to free courses on leadership, grant writing, and personal and professional development. We have a 2-year fellowship program which currently has 3 fellows per year. Faculty engage with fellows, residents and students weekly. We run clinical trials and also engage in health services, medical education and other research. The division is home to seven centers; Center for Arthritis, Lupus center, Scleroderma Center, Myositis Center, Sjogren’s Syndrome Center, Vasculitis Center, and the Center for Bone Health and Osteoporosis. These provide a pool of patients for research participants and development of expertise. We manage the Fracture Liaison Service and the infusion centers at our two affiliated hospitals. Ultrasound machines are available at all of our sites. Apart from doing musculoskeletal ultrasound, we also engage in vasculitis, parotid and lung ultrasound.
Faculty within the Department of Medicine are welcome to explore academic pursuits through teaching and/or research, as well as provide care to the underserved through our partnerships with SAC Health System in the Inland Empire and Guam Seventh-day Adventist Clinic in Micronesia. Loma Linda University Faculty Medical Group, Department of Neurology has an opportunity for board-certified/eligible neurologists who are interested in a Clinical Educator career in neurology. We believe that a broad interest in clinical neurology is of value to our program. A subspecialty interest is not required, but if present may be developed in conjunction with existing subspecialty programs. Subspecialty interests for this position could include EMG/neuromuscular (fellowship training preferred), movement disorders, neuro-otology, headache, multiple sclerosis, functional disorders or dementia.
This position will have a flexible balance of both neurology clinics and attending our general neurology teaching ward service, depending on the candidate's interest.
