RANGE POSITION DESCRIPTION The incumbent should have a background in AF Weapons, AMMO, or USN/USMC Aviation Ordnance; previous experience in developmental/operational test environment is a plus.
Should be familiar with aircraft stores, including Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM), Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missile (AMRAAM), AIM-9X Sidewinder, and next-gen network enabled weapons.
The incumbent will be responsible for tracking inventory of materiel and components in the Air Force's Theater Integrated Combat Munitions System (TICMS); familiarity with CAS/TICMS or similar ordnance tracking system is desired.
The incumbent will be required to set up, operate, and teardown various test equipment, including assisting vendor personnel with the operation and use of the Common Munitions BIT Reprogramming Equipment (CMBRE+).
Will inspect loaded stores and perform in-seat munitions built-in tests (BIT) and telemetry checkouts.
Some degree of manual labor will be involved, including the installation of telemetry kits, the application of target decals, and the metrological survey of weapons in support of static ejection and safe separation testing.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills desired.
Will be required to operate/drive Government Vehicles and other ground support equipment on the flight line and in the shop/hangar.
Receiving and maintaining a flight line driving certification is requirement.
This position requires flexible work hours and the ability to work occasional swing shift operations to support dynamic flight line operations.
