Job Purpose The Physician Advisor performs case reviews of all case types in a knowledgeable and conscientious manner to achieve the highest degree of compliance.

Job Details We are partnering with a premier, member-focused personal lines insurer seeking a Director, Actuarial Pricing to play a central role in shaping pricing strategy across Homeowners, Personal Auto, Excess Liability, and related lines of business.

This role is ideal for an actuarial leader who enjoys building sound pricing methodologies, leading teams, and balancing enterprise-level strategy with state-specific execution and regulatory considerations.

The Director will be a key contributor within the Actuarial Pricing organization, working closely with actuarial, analytics, and product teams to ensure pricing remains competitive, compliant, and aligned with long-term business objectives.

Key Responsibilities Lead and manage a team of actuarial analysts producing pricing analyses across personal lines (Home, Auto, Excess).

Develop, enhance, and maintain actuarial pricing methodologies and frameworks.

Conduct countrywide pricing studies and ad-hoc analyses to support strategic decision-making.

Partner closely with product, underwriting, and actuarial stakeholders to align pricing strategies with business and member needs.

Oversee state-level pricing initiatives and rate filings, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Build and improve tools, processes, and documentation to drive efficiency and consistency across pricing work.

Communicate findings, recommendations, and timelines clearly to senior leadership and cross-functional partners.

Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and market dynamics impacting personal lines pricing.

Qualifications & Experience 5+ years of actuarial pricing experience within Property & Casualty insurance.

Strong preference for experience in personal lines, particularly Homeowners and/or Personal Auto.

FCAS designation or actively progressing toward FCAS.

Deep understanding of actuarial ratemaking methodologies and best practices.

Demonstrated ability to apply analytical and quantitative skills to complex business problems.

Experience working with actuarial and data tools such as SAS, SQL, R, Python, or similar.

Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both actuarial and non-actuarial audiences.

Proven leadership and collaboration skills in a team-oriented environment.
