What you will do in this role:
- Evaluate patients prior to surgery

- Participate in surgical site verification, including briefing, time out, debriefing, and universal protocols, according to hospital policy
- Recognize and respond to patient emergencies
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while managing evidence-based practices and continuous improvement initiatives
- Be an integral member of a dynamic interdisciplinary team – consisting of the provider(s), surgeons, surgical technologists and more

PERFORM RADIOLOGIC EXAMINATIONS TIMLEY, ACCURATELY AND SAFELY FOR RADIOLOGIST INTERPRETATION
• Timely- Assure the schedule does not fall behind; exam delays are communicated to all stakeholders. Exams are routed to PACS for interpretation as soon as complete.
• Accurately- per exam protocol using appropriate anatomical markers and positioning aids. Images are free of artifacts and motion. Assure exams are read in a timely manner and all logs are completed.
• Safely- All patients are screened for patient and technologist identification, patient history, and safety protocols. Medial history reviewed for exam indications and contraindications.
ASSURE THE RADIOLOGY SUITE AND ADJACENT CLINICAL AND COMMON AREAS ARE PREPARED TO RECEIVE PATIENTS/VISITORS.
• Equipment- assure all needed equipment is available and in working order, perform quality control per ACR and manufacturer – report ASAP any equipment errors or downtime directly to the service vendor and manager, as well as clinical staff.
• Suite/Clinical and common areas- assure all needed medical supplies are ordered and stowed, assure exam room and patient areas are clean and equipment is cleaned per manufacturer, OSHA, DHEC, and MUSC infection control guidelines. Report any environmental issues timely to the manager.

Key Responsibilities
Quality Control Operations

- Approve or reject batches for release in collaboration with production and analytical staff.

RTD Biosciences is building a next-generation peptide manufacturing and analytical testing laboratory, and we are looking for a Lead Analytical Chemist / Lead Laboratory Technician to help build and operate the lab from the ground up.
This is a hands-on leadership role for a scientist who enjoys working with analytical instrumentation, solving complex technical problems, and helping establish laboratory systems in a growing pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
You will play a key role in analytical testing, method development, manufacturing support, and regulatory compliance as we expand our operations.
What You'll Do:
Analytical Testing
- Operate HPLC, LC-MS/MS, and Q-TOF systems for peptide identity, purity, and potency testing
- Perform CoA testing including assay, related substances, endotoxin, sterility, and particulate analysis
- Develop and optimize analytical methods aligned with USP and FDA expectations
Manufacturing Support
- Support peptide production including formulation, sterile filtration, and lyophilization
- Execute batch records and perform in-process testing
- Troubleshoot formulation and stability issues
Quality & Compliance
- Author and maintain SOPs, analytical methods, and quality documentation
- Support FDA inspections and regulatory readiness
- Participate in deviation investigations and CAPA
Laboratory Leadership
- Coordinate sample testing workflows
- Train and mentor laboratory technicians
- Manage lab inventory, reagents, and equipment maintenance
Qualifications:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Pharmaceutical Sciences
- 5+ years of analytical laboratory experience
- Hands-on experience with HPLC systems
- Knowledge of cGMP and USP laboratory testing
Preferred
- Experience with LC-MS/MS or mass spectrometry
- Experience with peptides, biologics, or injectable drug products
- Background in 503B outsourcing facilities or sterile compounding
- Cleanroom or aseptic processing experience
Compensation:
$90,000 – $115,000 salary + performance bonus. Some room for negotiation based on experience.

What We're Looking For:- Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
- Experience: One year relevant experience, preferred.
- Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
