Position SUMMARY
The management responsibilities and duties for the Infection Prevention and Control Program are required to prevent and control the spread of infections and/or outbreaks. The manager takes measures to prevent and reduce risk for the hospital related to hospital acquired infections (HAI) and track and monitor transmissible diseases and notify local, state, and federal authorities about reportable diseases as required. The manager has the responsibility to maintain the program in a state of readiness for compliance with regulatory requirements from federal, state and local agencies (CMS, TJC, OSHA, ect.)
Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Education
*Master's degree in nursing preferred; Bachelor of Nursing required
*Completed post-secondary education in nursing. Post-secondary includes public or private universities, colleges, community colleges, etc.
Registered Nurse
2 or more years' experience in infection prevention preferred.
A minimum of experience of two or more years in the related field of nursing
Certification in Infection Control (CBIC) with recertification every 5 years
Current license to practice in the State of North Carolina

Job Responsibilities
1. Data Analysis
Completes and updates NHSN modules on current HAI definitions.
Manages ICP data to include NHSN (for public reporting) and internal leadership reporting.
Perform surveillance and review/evaluate cases of infections for opportunities in patient care.
Provide data analysis of all ICP data and develop action plans to applicable leadership teams and healthcare providers.
Hand hygiene compliance surveillance and education (process improvement)
Track and monitor transmissible diseases and notify local, state, and federal authorities about reportable diseases as required.
Establish accepted standards to develop, implement, monitor, and revise infection control policies and procedures to assure compliance with the standards.
Coordinates infection control risk assessments for construction, renovation, or repairs with the project manager.
Conducts audits of the environment and addresses any concerns or lapses with infection control practices.
Coordinates annual Infection Control Risk Assessment for annual planning and disease control.
Based on annual risk assessment, develops Infection Control Program plan and sets goals.

Summary:
The MRI Technologist produces diagnostic MRI scans under the clinical direction of a Radiologist while taking responsibility for film quality, patient care, safety, sterile technique and providing education for staff and students. The Technologist participates in other necessary activities in support of departmental operations.
Responsibilities:
1. Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of all aspects of General Diagnostic Radiology, is familiar with and adheres to Departmental Protocols and Policy and Procedures of UNC Healthcare System, obtains RT(MR) credentials or is completing training to become credentialled and maintains active status.
2. Ensures that patient demographic, emulsion markers, and examination requested are correct, critiques, orients and saves all pertinent images, transmits QA-ed images to PACS, ensures that all images reach PACS, documents completion and/or cancellation of all procedures in RIS, documenting comments when appropriate, maintains image management equipment, reporting any equipment problem to appropriate resources, utilizes PACS and HIS system for obtaining additional study data.
3. Performs work in a timely manner, performs quality radiographic images on a consistent and on-going basis, analyzes request and draws appropriate conclusions for examination and action plan, reviews radiographic orders and images and correlates patient demographic information, ensuring accuracy of information, reviews daily schedule and/or status of patients waiting in department for examinations, maintains a clean and safe work environment, documents incidents and advises area supervisor of improvement opportunities for the work unit.
4. Uses RIS,CIS,PACS and SMS effectively and appropriately to access information and document status of procedures, modifies all necessary orders for appropriateness, completes exam in RIS System, QC's and transmits information to PACS, verifies that all information has arrive properly into PACS.
5. Verifies patient identity, obtains patient history relevant to examination order, verifies pregnancy status before administering ionizing radiation, assesses patients physical condition and develops an action plan for performing examination, assesses patients condition to determine if additionally medical personnel and or equipment is needed and takes appropriate action, assists patients that require extra attention, reacts to emergency situations, insures patient safety.

- Active Overview The Advanced Electronics and Computer Field trains Sailors to maintain, operate, and repair some of the Navy's most sophisticated electronics and computing systems, including radar, communications, navigation, local area networks, weapons fire control, and Aegis combat systems.
ETs and FCs form the backbone of a ship's Combat Systems department aboard carriers, cruisers, destroyers, and other surface combatants, as well as at repair and technical activities ashore.
Key Responsibilities Serve as an Electronics Technician (ET) or Fire Controlman (FC) after training, based on performance and Navy needs; as an ET, maintain and repair radar, communication, and navigation equipment including transmitters, receivers, displays, and shipboard communications suites such as SATCOM and HF; as an FC, operate, maintain, and repair fire control radars, computers, large screen displays, local area networks, weapon control consoles, and automatic gun systems; troubleshoot complex electronic and electro mechanical faults using technical documentation, test equipment, and established procedures; maintain configuration control, documentation, and logs that support inspections, certifications, and combat system readiness.

Pathways, Training & Advancement Recruit Training followed by Apprentice Technical Training at Great Lakes, Illinois, covering basic electronics, circuitry, safety, digital theory, microcomputers, fiber optics, test equipment, and troubleshooting; strand training in either the Fire Controlman or Electronics Technician track, with FCs focusing on radar, ballistics, and fire control basics, and ETs focusing on communications suites and radar systems; follow on A School and platform or system specific C Schools, often with college credit recommended by the American Council on Education; accelerated advancement to E4 upon completion of initial school training and all advancement requirements, with continued promotion based on performance, time in rate, and professional development.
Enlist under the Advanced Electronics and Computer Field program, with final placement into the Electronics Technician or Fire Controlman rating during initial training at Great Lakes, based on performance and Navy needs; maintain AECF eligibility throughout training in order to retain any accelerated advancement benefits; fleet conversion into ET or FC from another rating may be possible for qualified Sailors, subject to screening and community manning.

Summary:
The Imaging Tech Assistant provides patient care under the supervision of a registered radiologic technologist. Assists staff to ensure optimal patient care.
Responsibilities:
1. Provides and maintains a clean, safe and attractive environment for patients.

Responsibilities:
- Patient Identification- Uses professional manners and methods, verifies patient identification, obtains patient history, assists patients and family members that require extra attention, insures patient understanding whenever possible, and insures patient safety. - CT Scans- Obtains images per protocols, manipulates images according to protocols, performs multi-planar and 3D reconstruction of image data, demonstrates a thorough knowledge of CT algorithms, and selects appropriate window and level setting according to anatomy.
- Contrast- Administers oral contrast to adult and pediatric patients according to protocols, establishes intravenous lines, administers IV contrast following safe and proper injection procedures, follows correct procedure to determine contrast eligibility, checks appropriate lab values before contrast injection per protocol.
- Image Transfer- Maintains thorough understanding of PACS, and transmits images to QC, UNCH's EMR, EPIC and PACS, verifies and segments images at the QC station, accesses IMPAX service tools to verify images transmission, completes, modifies and/or cancels orders in an appropriate and timely manner, cancels duplicate orders to avoid duplicate billing. Insures that all charge information is accurate. Verifies patient identification in accordance with UNC policy, insures that all appropriate demographic information is accurate and on the PACS images.
- Other Duties- Performs task in a timely manner, runs the schedule creating a consistent workflow, volunteers to work on challenging tasks, difficult procedures and new research, produces quality diagnostic images, reviews patient's chart and reports for correlation, maintains a clean and orderly work environment, creates and keeps documentation of incidents as improvement opportunities for employees and the department. Produces routine and specialized, portable and surgical radiographs, mammograms and specialized studies to include, but not limited to: Obtains history and/or examination data and evaluates for contraindicating conditions; Reviews Radiologist's report; Administers contrasts by direct injection or IV line; Takes and monitors vital signs, and performs venipuncture; Applies shielding, supportive and immobilization devices; Adjusts and controls equipment; Reviews film for clinically acceptable results and releases patients; Prepares room by gathering and setting up equipment, supplies and contrasts.

3. Provides emotional support, comfort, general assistance, and information to patients.
4. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care based on the age of the patients served.

Responsibilities
- Perform efficient routes individually.
- Read and interpret pesticide labels to correctly mix products based on areas measured and quantities needed.
- Address and alleviate customer concerns and pest related issues by using integrated pest management strategies
- Maintain and care for company equipment, vehicle and gas card and other job-related items.
- Complete all duties required by a pest/mosquito/termite service professional: customer consultation, inspection, eliminate/identify conducive conditions and proper treatments.
- Record work activities and complete all paperwork after finishing services.
