LEGAL OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Represent clients in complex construction and business litigation matters
• Handle disputes involving design professionals, contractors, manufacturers, developers, and property owners
• Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and discovery responses
• Participate in depositions, mediations, arbitrations, trials, and appellate matters
• Provide strategic counsel to clients and insurers throughout the lifecycle of construction projects, including claims guidance during active design and construction
• Work on matters involving large-scale infrastructure, public works, and commercial developments such as transportation projects, healthcare facilities, hospitality properties, utilities, and residential developments
• Collaborate remotely with partners and litigation teams while maintaining a high level of responsiveness and professionalism

WHAT YOU BRING

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
• Active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
• 2 to 7 years of experience in construction law, complex litigation, or business litigation
• Strong legal writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
• Prior experience working with insurance carriers or insured clients is strongly preferred
• Ability to manage matters independently in a remote environment while contributing effectively to a team-based practice

Role Description

This is a full-time position located at main office in Murrieta, CA. The role involves assisting in preparing cost estimates and maintaining clear communication with team members and clients. The Construction Estimating Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the estimating team and ensuring the effective execution of tasks and project requirements. Performs clerical duties including writing, emailing, filing, and completion of simple forms. Operates office machines including copiers, scanners, phone and voicemail systems, personal computers, and other standard office equipment. Assist Estimators in bidding projects. Solicit bids from Vendors and subcontractors, attend pre-bid meetings, assist in preparation of bid documents including state or federal requirements that need to be attached with the bids, perform quantity take offs from plans. Need some travel on bid document delivery and meetings.

Qualifications

• Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to foster collaborative and professional interactions

The basic requirements of a woman to serve as a surrogate are:

• Responsible
• In good physical health
• Non-smoker
• Has had at least one successful pregnancy
• Is capable of carrying a child to full term

In Texas, there is a judicial process for validating the Gestational Contract (the contract between the intended parents and the surrogate). Included within the various requirements for having a Gestational Contract validated by a Texas court is that the intended parents must be married and the surrogate must have previously carried a child to term. Additionally, there are residency requirements that apply to either the surrogate or the intended parents, but not both.

Compensation for a surrogate services generally starts in the range of $35,000 - $40,000, for base compensation with over all fees up to 70k, in many cases. The amount of compensation is dependent upon a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, whether the surrogate carries twins, what procedures a surrogate is required to undergo and whether the delivery is vaginally or by cesarean section.

Job Summary

Based in Moreno Valley, California, the Senior Industrial Relations Manager is a field-based role supporting industrial relations for a construction project. The position works closely with site leadership, and the position is directly responsible for administering the project labor agreement for the Moreno Compressor Modernization project working with the San Bernardino and Riverside counties building and construction trades council. Duties to include, conduct pre job meetings, hold monthly labor management meetings and spend time in the field as needed supporting the project.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary onsite authority for labor and industrial relations across construction sites.

• Work closely with construction staff to understand daily crew needs, labor challenges, and execution constraints.

• Support craft deployment, workforce planning, and ramp-up/ramp-down activities aligned with construction schedules.

• Partner with Safety and Construction leadership to address workforce behavior concerns impacting job site conditions.

• Interpret and apply labor agreements, project labor requirements, and craft-jurisdiction provisions to support consistent and compliant site operations.

• Address workforce issues, craft disputes, and labor-related concerns promptly to maintain workforce stability and minimize impacts on construction activities.

• Ensure compliance with labor laws, collective bargaining agreements, wage and hour regulations, and project-specific labor policies.

• Support audits, investigations, and reporting related to labor practices, subcontractor compliance, and workforce governance.

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Minimum 10 years of progressive human resources, industrial relations, or labor relations experience supporting large construction sites within EPC, heavy industrial, or infrastructure environments.

• Strong experience working directly with craft labor, construction staff, and multi-craft workforce environments.

• Knowledge of labor laws, collective bargaining agreements, craft jurisdictions, and construction-specific workforce practices.

• Demonstrated ability to resolve onsite labor disputes and maintain workforce stability in fast-paced construction settings.
