Job Details Seeking a seasoned real estate transactional attorney to lead and grow our real estate practice with a focus on residential and commercial closings, development, zoning, and related matters.
This role offers a clear path to partnership and the opportunity to cultivate a client base while overseeing transactions end-to-end.
Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all aspects of real estate transactions: •Draft, review, and negotiate purchase agreements, leases, deeds, financing documents.
•Conduct due diligence, including title and survey review.
•Advise clients on zoning, development, permitting, and compliance with Georgia laws.
•Oversee and conduct closings with precision.
Expand and deepen relationships with referral sources, realtors, developers, lenders, and business clients.
Provide legal guidance in overlapping areas: •Business/corporate transactions, estate planning, probate support.
•Engage in litigation or dispute resolution when issues arise during transactions.
Mentor junior attorneys, paralegals, and support staff in real estate matters.
Participate in marketing, professional development events, and local community involvement initiatives.
Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active membership in the Georgia Bar.
Minimum of 10+ years of direct experience in real estate transactional law (residential and commercial) — more is preferred for a senior-level role.
Proven ability to manage transactions from inception through closing, including negotiation, due diligence, and compliance.
Deep understanding of Georgia-specific real estate regulations, zoning, permitting, and development issues.
Strong drafting, negotiation, communication, and client-service skills.
Leadership and team-mentoring experience, with the potential to drive growth and new business.
Familiarity with estate planning, corporate law, or probate is a strong plus.
