RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS:

• Responsible for supervising all technical operations related to the department. (I.E. Structures, Bond Shop, Paint Shop, etc.)
• Monitors, reviews, and provides daily work assignments and expectations for completion of tasks, for each Mechanic / Technician in their department.
• Responsible for reading, understanding, and interpreting work instructions, technical data, engine repairs, drawings. Implements these areas to the scope of work.
• Responsible for maintaining the status report for the respective area.
• Liaison with engineering for requesting Final ERO’s or issues with the ERO.
• Communicate with Quality any issue, additional damage found, or alternative suggested repair paths.
• Responsible for monitoring and maintaining paint and ship dates within the respective department. Schedules individual tasks for each mechanic and each job.
• Conduct daily morning meetings with the respective departments.
• Communicate throughout each day, with Production Control and Production Manager, any hardware related issues or needs, and any schedule issues.
• Communicates with all departments via email.
• Responsible for keeping the respective departments clean and organized daily and ensuring efficient workflow, and housekeeping standardsare met.
• Responsibilities include providing training, when needed to ensure that only properly qualified employeesare performing maintenance.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Proven experience supervision of employees.
• Proficient working knowledge and ability to use various office software including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, email, PowerPoint, Corridor.
• Must be self-motivated, detail oriented, and organized.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment, and work overtime to meet schedule demands.
• Must be able to communicate with employees and management in a professional manner using written and verbal format.
• Must be able to follow directions.
• Proven experience in performing repair and overhaul of aircraft components.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate, and timely estimates for all quote/bid opportunities.
• Develop and submit formal proposals for TxDOT, NTTA, and various municipal entities.
• Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and DOT standards.
• Create detailed pricing estimates based on historical data and industry standards.
• Identify and document any deviations or clarifications from bid requests.
• Track bid status and maintain records of bid/award performance.

Education & Experience

The compensation package for this position includes a guaranteed first-year base salary or Personal Net Collections, whichever is greater. This structure is designed to provide income stability during the first year while also rewarding productivity. Actual earnings may vary based on individual performance, patient volume, and other factors influencing net collections. Job Summary:

The Production Supervisor (night shift) plans and manages the day-to-day allocation of resources for designated shift (equipment, people, materials, and systems) to efficiently, safely and cost effectively achieve performance targets as agreed with Production Management. They also ensure that a high quality of products, services, housekeeping, and hygiene standards are maintained and improved in the area; review daily achievement of targets and report variances during on-the-floor and review meetings; and coach, mentor and develop team members to meet current and future business requirements.

Essential Functions of the Job:

Supervises employees to ensure safety, quality, and productivity.

Achieves budgeted targets for raw material yield, labor, and packaging materials usage for shift.

Responsible for the accuracy of all production reporting related to shift.

Schedule and conduct daily production meetings with shift personnel.

Audit's workstations to ensure SOPS are being following routinely.

Collaborating with warehouse and quality assurance personnel to ensure prompt shipment of product.

Responsible for the complete and accurate reporting of shift production data.

Maintaining GMP / Housekeeping at a high level within the department through the involvement of all team members.

Develops and recommends improvements of facilities, equipment, or procedures to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.

Oversees and or conducts shift training of new or existing employees.

Drives productivity, quality, and safety initiatives throughout production to impact productivity and the cost structure.

Establish and support a work environment of continuous improvement that supports the companies Quality policy, Quality System & the appropriate regulations for the area.

Oversees the management of shift production personnel.

Ensures production is following SunOpta QA standards, SOPs, HACCP, and GMPs.

Member of the Lean Steering Committee.

Committed to ensuring that the products produced meet all food safety and quality requirements.

Collaborate with cross-functional groups including Human Resources, Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Warehousing, and Finance to meet production targets.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Manages employees on a production shift.

Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of assigned shift.

Ensure effective employee relations.

Provide employee coaching and development.

Resolve employee issues through problem resolution.

Manage production line performance measures and provide regular progress reports to managers.

Coach and counsel employees; document/discuss performance reviews on a timely basis.

Perform accident investigations.

Manage production priorities.

Track absenteeism and timekeeping.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate degree in related field.

5 - 7 years supervisory experience in a food manufacturing facility.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science degree in a related field.

Bi-Lingual Spanish.

LEAN Manufacturing.

Knowledge and Skills:

Ability to use critical thinking to plan and problem-solve.

Must have a working knowledge of MS Word and MS PowerPoint

Experience with Oracle is beneficial.

Additional Considerations:

Location: This position will be at the SunOpta Plant in Midlothian, TX.

Shift: This position will be a night shift role on a 2-2-3 pattern; 6 pm to 6:30 pam.

Work Environment: Approximately; 95% of the work is performed in a production environment; 5% of work may be performed in an office environment.
