Responsibilities

Basic Success Criteria

The Role:

Test Engineer with a focus on Vehicle NVH responsible for engineering optimal NVH performance while balancing mass, packaging and cost.

Description:

· Develop test procedures to evaluate in-vehicle for NVH performance.

· Acquire and interpret NVH data to guide design decisions and optimize vehicle acoustic performance.

· Work closely with Vehicle Integration, Body, Chassis, and Thermal teams to drive the design for NVH.

· Support target setting and cascade process for vehicle-level NVH performance.

· Perform - at a vehicle and component level - testing and assessments to improve airborne and structure-borne noise performance in prototypes and production vehicles.

Qualifications:

· Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering, Acoustics, Physics, or a related field. Master’s or PhD preferred.

The harness engineer is a very cross-functional role at the convergence of the avionics, mechanical, integration, and production teams, with significant hands-on work designing, building, integrating, and testing our harnesses, enclosures, and mounting hardware; expect to broaden your design and application experience. This position will be located at our facility in Mountain View, California.

Responsibilities

In your role as Avionics Mechanical Engineer you will work with the avionics, mechanical, and integration teams to define the hardware interfaces, design the detailed harnesses including definition of the harness routing, design and test enclosures for environmental protection, and design the structural mounts for securing the hardware in the airplane. You'll have the opportunity to design, install, and test your hardware on a remotely operated aircraft, and you'll be an instrumental part of how our hardware teams come together on the airplane.

Responsibilities

In your role as a Radar Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing digital and analog circuits for our next-generation Radar system. You will drive the design and layout of a multi-processor with an FPGA on chip using DDR 4 memory, as well as designing switching and linear power supplies. As a Sr. Electrical Test Engineer at Reliable Robotics, you will be a part of the avionics engineering team. We develop the wide variety of computing, sensing and actuation, power, and communications systems that are at the core of our automation system. We're looking for a broadly experienced individual to apply their electrical engineering and software automation skills to develop robust test solutions for complex hardware in a safety-critical environment. This is a clean-slate opportunity to grow our primitive test operations into a production worthy operation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of automated test equipment systems for functional, environmental qualification, and manufacturing acceptance tests

• Analyze test results to identify failure modes, lead root cause investigations, and drive improvements back into designs

• Author, execute, and audit test plans, procedures, and reports

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate successful testing campaigns

• Drive continuous improvement to test system infrastructure, processes, and practices

Basic Success Criteria

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent experience

• 8+ years of full cycle electronics hardware test or development experience in a professional environment

• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals

• Extensive experience with test equipment, measurement techniques, and processes for hardware verification

• Experience with programming/scripting languages (C, C++, Python) and ability to develop and maintain test software

Preferred Criteria

• Advanced degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering

• Familiarity with formal industry test standards such as RTCA DO-160, MIL-STD-461/810, or similar

• Experience developing and simulating complex and manufacturable printed circuit board assemblies using tools such as Altium Designer and SPICE

As a Sr. Quality Assurance and Reliability Engineer, you'll be a part of the Production organization. You'll bring the technical leadership required to verify product safety and reliability, lead investigations, identify and implement corrective actions, and ensure improvements are implemented. You will be responsible for the strategy and execution of the quality management system, risk mitigation, risk prevention, design reliability, hardware reliability, flight reliability, test validation, and production optimization. Responsibilities

• Work with the design, manufacturing, test, and flight teams to produce reliable products, ensure compliance, and drive continuous improvement across the business. You'll have the opportunity to work directly with flight hardware in the factory and on the plane, run investigations and containment on safety-critical products, and watch your processes build the first certifiable autonomous aircraft.

• Partner with design, manufacturing, and test teams through product development, acceptance testing, and quality checkouts to create reliable hardware verification for flight components and systems, including identification of key operating characteristics, prototype development testing for functionality and manufacturability, flight and prototype planning development, and collation of test anomalies and lessons learned.

• Develop and manage the quality management system to ensure compliance with processes, work instructions, certifications, and regulatory requirements.

• Investigate anomalies in manufacturing, supply chain, testing, and flight, identifying and mitigating the immediate and underlying root causes to manage risk and improve the reliability of designs and processes.

• Support the development, manufacturing, and verification of products using continuous improvement and statistical techniques.

• Develop, implement, and validate test and inspection methodologies for new and existing products, ensuring objective criteria are consistently met and quality goals are met.

• Derive, automate, and report quality metrics to the business and provide recommendations for design, product, and process improvements.

Basic Success Criteria

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace, Software Engineering, or a similar advanced degree

• 7+ years of professional experience in design engineering, manufacturing, test, software, or quality and reliability engineering

• 2+ years of professional experience with investigations, design of experiments, and other investigatory and problem-solving methods

• Experience with quality, risk, and/or safety management systems and processes

Preferred Criteria

• 2+ years of experience with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulatory requirements (e.g., 14 CFR 21, DO-160, D0-254, etc.)

• 2+ years of programming experience in Python, C, or SQL with an emphasis on data analysis and automation

• Experience evaluating, defining, strategizing, and executing test campaigns and procedures
