Responsibilities:
As the Branch Manager, you will lead daily field operations, overseeing crews and equipment within your assigned area to ensure efficiency, safety, and exceptional customer service. You’ll manage branch activities including training, production, staffing, inventory, and overall performance, driving operational excellence across all functions. This position requires strong financial management skills and the ability to balance corporate goals with local resources and customer needs.
We’re looking for an experienced Branch Manager with strong financial insight and excellent relationship management skills to oversee branch operations and ensure overall profitability. The Branch Manager will lead daily production, manage shop and field activities, and coordinate across departments to align capacity, forecasting, and performance. This is a hands-on position that requires on-site engagement and occasional field involvement to support crews and ensure service excellence.
- Direct daily branch operations, including scheduling, staffing, and equipment deployment.
- Plan and coordinate project activities to meet deadlines efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, municipalities, and vendors.
- Secure permits, manage notifications, and ensure compliance with city and state regulations.
- Collaborate with estimating and accounting departments on forecasting, revenue recognition, and financial reporting.
- Monitor project performance and maintain accurate production reporting for billing and forecasting purposes.
- Manage labor resources — oversee employee schedules, evaluate performance, and make hiring or disciplinary recommendations.
- Oversee safety compliance, including DOT and workplace safety training for all field staff.
- Maintain inventory levels and request materials based on project demands.
- Lead by example, promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by responding promptly to needs and resolving issues professionally.
- Participate in district-level meetings and represent the branch with professionalism and integrity.
- Remain available for occasional evening, weekend, or emergency work based on operational needs.
- Travel as required for site visits and client coordination.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of management or supervisory experience in field operations or construction.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in traffic control, safety operations, or related industry.
- Strong understanding of P&L statements, balance sheets, and branch-level financial management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Viewpoint (training provided).
- In-depth knowledge of state DOT specifications for traffic control devices and materials.
- Demonstrated involvement in trade associations or industry organizations preferred.
- Proven ability to lead teams, make sound decisions, and balance multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

We are seeking an operational leader with strong financial acumen who can confidently manage customer relationships while ensuring branch profitability. You will oversee branch production, shop activities, and customer relations, while coordinating with estimating departments to align production capacity and critical path issues.
