Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform duties as necessary for Federal Foam Technologies business growth and sales diversification. Manages and pursues business opportunities with existing and new customers with potential for applications that complement business strategies. Solicit and educate customers/ prospects on FFT’s materials, processes, and capabilities. Communicate market demands and opportunities internally to help the company understand requirements needed to grow business and maintain a leadership position within marketed industries. Growing business models set forth in planning sessions will include flexible foam, flame lamination, processed fiber products, synthetic rubbers, non-metallic fabricated products, specialty high heat materials and molded composites, and vacuum formed and compression form composites. 

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree (preferred), and 3-5 years’ experience in sales preferably in a polyurethane foam, plastic polyester fiber or complementary field
• Willingness to travel to and work closely with customers
• Competent knowledge of foams, polyester fiber products, flame lamination composites, and associated manufacturing processes
• Experience in commercial sales field and conducting business with box retailers is a plus.
• Practical comprehension of engineered applications at customers and prospects
• Experience in working for a manufacturing company and comprehending the workings of internal ERP systems and processes
• Experience in working with a CRM system (Hubspot) to help manage sales goals and opportunities
• Experience in effectively conducting presentations to customers and applying excellent communication skills, both internally and externally
• Knowledge of sales quotas and the ability to achieve those quotas
• Some experience recommended with the aspects of Supplier Relationship Management
• Detail oriented with a driven personality
• Proficient computer skills

Manufacturing Engineer (Metals)

About the Role

A well-established advanced manufacturing organisation is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with strong TIG welding experience to support welding processes within a high-mix precision manufacturing environment.

This role focuses on developing, improving, and supporting GTAW (TIG) and orbital welding processes used in stainless steel tubing assemblies and precision components. The position works closely with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to ensure welding operations are robust, repeatable, and suitable for scaled manufacturing.

This is an excellent opportunity for a manufacturing or process engineer who has hands-on TIG welding experience and wants to take ownership of welding-related production processes, while remaining embedded in a broader manufacturing engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and optimisation of GTAW (TIG) and orbital welding processes within production

• Assist with development and documentation of welding procedures and work instructions

• Work with design and manufacturing teams to improve weld joint design, fixturing, and manufacturability

• Troubleshoot welding issues on the production floor and support root-cause analysis and corrective actions

• Help establish consistent weld process parameters and quality standards

• Provide hands-on support to production teams including operator training and process guidance

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to increase yield, reduce defects, and improve throughput

• Support introduction of new welding equipment, fixtures, and manufacturing processes

• Assist with process qualification, documentation, and internal or customer audits where required

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline preferred

• 3–7+ years of experience in a manufacturing or process engineering role involving TIG (GTAW) welding

• Hands-on experience supporting or working with TIG welding in a production environment

• Exposure to orbital welding processes is strongly preferred

• Experience working with stainless steel tubing or precision welded components is beneficial

• Familiarity with welding standards such as AWS or ASME codes is helpful but not required at an expert level

• Experience troubleshooting manufacturing processes and supporting production teams

• Basic understanding of metallurgy, distortion control, and fixturing concepts

• Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD tools

• Exposure to automation, PLCs, or welding system controls is a plus

• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma practices preferred

• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across engineering and production teams

Manufacturing Engineering Manager

Our client is seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager to serve as the #2 plant leader and operational partner to the General Manager in a wire harness and cable assembly manufacturing environment.

This role is highly floor-focused and responsible for driving engineering execution, production support, NPI readiness, tooling/fixtures, documentation control, and continuous improvement initiatives. You’ll work cross-functionally with Production, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure on-time delivery, process stability, and KPI performance.

• 6–10+ years in manufacturing/process engineering leadership (wire harness preferred)

In this role, you will collaborate closely with Project Directors, Project Managers, and cross-functional teams to drive schedule performance, identify risks, and support timely execution across all project phases. This position follows a hybrid work schedule based at our Hudson, WI facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive scheduling management system in collaboration with Project Directors and Project Managers
• Manage and coordinate multiple project schedules simultaneously across various project phases
• Establish and maintain baseline schedules, including activity durations, resource allocation, and critical path analysis
• Collaborate with Design, Procurement, Construction, and Workshop teams to continuously update schedule changes and ensure alignment
• Monitor actual project progress against contractual milestones and support Project and Contract Managers in identifying risks, delays, and opportunities
• Perform earned value analysis (EVA) to track project performance and forecast outcomes
