The Surface Based Effector Production Department is searching for a Sr. Principal Guidance Section Systems Integrator role on a complex missile program that is critical for our national defense and has near unlimited growth potential.  The Systems Integrator role will work closely with all disciplines associated with missile production including Program Management, Chief Engineers, Quality, Supply Chain and Production Operations to ensure the technical integrity of our products is maintained and performs as intended every time.  The Systems Integrator’s broad knowledge base will be used to lead and/or support failure investigations, obsolescence redesigns, factory escapes, supplier issues and much more.  The ability to calmly but quickly review and analyze information, separate fact from fiction and make decisions and/or recommendations is critical in this role. The Systems Integrator also provides both technical guidance and supervision in meeting project commitments.  Allocating time to mentor newer engineers is also key to the success of the team and program. 

What You Will Do:

• Support integration and test efforts of the All Up Round and related subassemblies for the SM-6 programs
• Provide technical oversight of failure investigations
• Support component level design and test reviews
• Work environment is primarily in an office, but may include labs, field work, or a combination
• Work with suppliers and customers for procuring and demonstrating capabilities in lab or field environments.
• Assignments may include design changes and analysis; developing and documenting subsystem requirements and test plans and reports; peer reviews of designs as a subject matter expert; presentations to peers, management, and government customers; and root-cause investigations.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of ten (10) years of experience
• Experience in one or more of the following areas: RF product and subassembly design, integration, and production support; analog, digital, and power electronics design, integration, and production support; deconvolving high-level requirements into actionable design electronics and subsystem architectures; experience in RF sub-systems, systems engineering, requirements development, requirement validation, Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) design, RF test integration (including RF test solutions), and/or RF supplier management on an effector-based product

What You Will Do

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a Bachelor in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience. In absence of a degree, 9+ years of experience. An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for additional years of experience

• Three (3) years of experience in propulsion technology and its application to solid propulsion systems

• Experience in the development of solid propulsion systems from conceptual design through final test / assembly etc.

Our Principal Embedded Real-Time Software Developer/Integrator is a technical position that works in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment to architect, design, implement, test, debug, and deploy Software for Firmware (FPGA) and Hardware solutions that meet current and next generation autonomous avionics systems’ needs. Working with a cross-discipline team, the candidate must have experience developing, testing, and integrating software for edge or embedded devices and/or subsystems (like telecom, medical, IoT, automotive, or robotics) where hardware operation, time critical function, functional reliability, mission assurance, and safety might be major concerns.

The successful candidate will work with Product Owners, Chief Engineers, Management and other IPT members using Lean and/or Agile practices to ensure that embedded software is designed and developed to reliably operate toward the intended functions.

This position is within the Effectors Center of the Software organization, and is an onsite role located in Tucson, AZ.

What You Will Do

• Architecting, designing, implementing, testing, and debugging integrated embedded real-time software within heterogenous systems composed of firmware and hardware.
• Working within a cross-discipline team to define, refine, and improve product concept, implementation, testability, and guaranteed, measurable quality.
• Teaching, coaching, and mentoring less experienced staff.
• Contributing to proposals as well as preliminary and critical design reviews.

Qualifications You Must Have

What You Will Do:

As a Sr. Manufacturing Development Engineer you’ll lead and coordinate projects and improvements across the extended value streams by providing technical manufacturing support to a program from the early development phases through transition to production.

In this highly visible role, you’ll leverage your technical knowledge of manufacturing capabilities, product technologies, factory requirements and business processes to establish and execute the manufacturing plan and influence technical program decisions to support the overall program value stream.

Typical Responsibilities will Include:

• Participation in manufacturing and test requirements development
• Design for manufacturing activities
• Manufacturing process development and factory capabilities analysis to ensure factory readiness and improve product producibility

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Developing Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) including assembly instructions, workflow/routing, labor standards, tool and fixture designs.
• Providing technical input and peer review to engineering designs and design changes.
• Providing technical guidance and problem solving to factory engineers
• Applying manufacturing engineering skillsets across the extended value stream to resolve constraints and improve process and product designs

Other Responsibilities may Include:

• Serving as the manufacturing and producibility authority within the program
• Recommending process and procedural changes to ensure that objectives in the areas of cost, efficiency, and quality are met
• Designing, controlling, and improving the producibility of products through collaboration with a multi-disciplined team
• Identifying and resolving constraints across the program
• Participating in corrective action investigation

This job is posted as ONSITE and is based at Raytheon’s Tucson, AZ facility.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM), and minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience working in manufacturing production.
• Experience with manufacturing process development or improvement
• Ability to work on programs requiring special program access
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF) clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Ability to identify, reduce and eliminate cost, quality and schedule constraints through technical engagements along with an innovative mindset that drives continuous improvement, lean manufacturing and keeps pace with advances in technology
• Technical drawing interpretation, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and proficiency with CAD solid modeling tools (preference for CREO/ProE)
• Demonstrated hands-on mechanical aptitude with the ability to work across disciplines in a team environment
• Experience with technical writing and interpreting and improving technical drawings and communicating technical information to different audiences
• Experience with MRP systems and Manufacturing Readiness Assessments
• Prefer Bachelor’s Degrees in the following areas: Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
• Current DoD security clearance (secret)

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. The Systems Engineering and Test Center's Life Cycle Engineering Directorate is responsible for ensuring our products are Safe, Reliable, Maintainable and delivered on time. Life Cycle Engineering consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers. Our Life Cycle Engineering disciplines participate in the total life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation.  Our focus area is product support, including the following disciplines: Reliability System Safety and Supportability. 

This position is based onsite in Tucson, AZ. You will be part of the Systems Engineering and Test Center, supporting products from design through validation, integration, and long-term sustainment.  You will play a key role in ensuring product sustainment and mission readiness.

What You Will Do:

• Develop, review, and maintain maintenance work instructions and repair documentation for Intermediate Level Maintenance Facilities (ILMFs).

• Author and manage maintenance and repair documents, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and configuration control.

• Coordinate cross-functional efforts across engineering, supply chain, quality, finance, and operations to support repair execution and sustainment objectives.

• Develop and manage program budgets, including forecasting, cost tracking, and variance analysis.

• Conduct and support spares analysis activities, including demand forecasting and sustainment planning.

• Utilize OPUS and other tools to support spares analysis and sustainment decisions.

• Prepare and deliver clear, professional presentations to internal leadership and external customers regarding Missile Maintenance documents & Sparing Analysis

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.

• Experience with maintenance work instructions and/or sustainment processes for maintenance facilities.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience supporting the creation and maintenance of technical manuals, work instructions, and related logistics documentation.

• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

• Experience with managing budgets and program financials.

• Familiar with government or FMS customer repair programs.
