Title: Senior Procurement Specialist
Duration: Full-time, Permanent
Location: Prairieville, LA - However there will be a move to Modeste once portables are set up at construction site (targeting early June)
Shift: M-F 8am to 5pm On-site
Salary: $95,000 to $117,000

This role is on-site at one of the major manufacturing facilities for a large chemical manufacturing company that is a pioneer in the agricultural industry. The Sr. Procurement Specialist will be responsible for providing dedicated procurement, program and stakeholder support for the Blue Point project. Supports the project based on advanced project procurement knowledge and industry best practices. Conducts day-to-day procurement execution activities in direct alignment with the company-wide function and with the project execution schedule set by Project Management leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field
- 6+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or engineering
- Experience with large industrial construction projects and/or operating plants, preferably in oil and gas or chemical industries.
- Strong technical knowledge of good procurement and industry practices including contract terms negotiation, supplier management, supplier qualification, sourcing bidding and contracting, supplier performance management and risk management.
- Familiarity with SAP, Ariba, and procurement systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Tableau and Power BI
Additional Qualifications:
- MBA
- Knowledge of Coupa, Ariba and other procurement systems
- Procurement or supply management certification
- Turn Around Expiernce
Responsibilities:
- Support the project procurement team in delivering short- and long-term procurement goals aligned with project plans and schedules
- Manage supplier cost, safety, risk, reliability, and capability considerations
- Develop and execute project procurement and contracting strategies aligned with business priorities
- Ensure compliance with procurement processes and increase procurement involvement across the project
- Manage key supplier relationships to drive alignment and value creation
- Engage stakeholders throughout the procurement process and project execution
- Participate in project stage-gate reviews and provide procurement input and assurance
- Contribute to risk management planning for contracts, suppliers, and procurement processes
- Apply industry trends, market knowledge, and best practices to drive competitive advantage
- Ensure adherence to procurement policies, procedures, and process improvements
- Lead sourcing activities, including RFPs, evaluations, negotiations, and contract awards
- Issue contracts, contract releases, and purchase orders
- Track and report equipment fabrication progress and delivery status
- Expedite critical-path orders to meet project schedules
- Support vendor compliance with contract terms and enforce when necessary
- Provide support for imports and logistics activities
- Participate in site meetings and support safety, reliability, and community initiatives
Construction Field Superintendent
Gonzales, LA
Must be able to travel to Canada (TAR site)
Ability to obtain TWIC + Passport required
We are seeking an experienced Construction Field Superintendent to oversee on‐site industrial construction activities, ensuring safe, high‐quality, and efficient execution. This role manages crews, coordinates subcontractors, and supports both project and turnaround (TAR) work.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily field activities and supervise construction crews
- Enforce OSHA and site‐specific safety protocols; conduct Toolbox Meetings
- Oversee crane operations, lift planning, welding, and process piping work
- Coordinate subcontractors and ensure schedule adherence using P6
- Resolve field issues and ensure work meets drawings, specs, and P&IDs
- Approve contractor timesheets & support job package and bid prep
- Maintain TWIC & TEIC; must travel to Canada for meetings/training
Qualifications
- Construction Management degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Strong industrial/petrochemical construction supervision background
- TAR experience strongly preferred
- Proficient in P6; able to read P&IDs and engineering drawings
- Skilled in crane operations, lift planning, welding & QC processes
- Strong leadership, communication & problem‐solving skills
- Must maintain TWIC, TEIC & valid Passport

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Vocational or Technical Certification Post Secondary degree or Technical Certifications, preferred

- Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines including:
- Routine preventative maintenance, which should include oil changes, brake and tire work
- Diagnostics and repairs, including AC, electrical systems
- Advanced skilled level repairs to include some major engine repairs, diesel after treatment or automotive fuel injection repairs, required
- Four (4) years or more Relevant work experience, preferred
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A,preferred
- All other certification as required by location, required
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to perform all T3 tasks
- Must have demonstrated advanced analytical and repair skills in vehicle maintenance
- Effective interpersonal communication skills
- Must have basic computer skills: PC, Windows, mouse, etc.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be available to work shift work/weekends and on call duty as required
- Prefer ASE Certification in PM, Brakes, A/C, electrical, Electronics or ASE Master Mechanic
- Required to operate shop computers and diagnostic test equipment proficiently
- Must have minimum tool requirement
- Must road test vehicles as necessary

Responsibilities
- SBTIII trained within 180 days (SBT220)
- Complete all OEM on-line diagnostic scan tool software courses as required by location fleet mix. (completed within 365days)
- Complete Instructor led OEM courses as required to support location fleet mix.
- Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties including:
- Performs standard vehicle maintenance
- Performs preventive maintenance
- Performs complex repairs with minimal (if any) support.
- Demonstrate the ability to access and use internal and external maintenance documents
- Diagnoses and repairs complex mechanical and electronic problems with minimal (if any) support, utilizing diagnostic computers/software when applicable.
- Performs remote triage to with RCRC and customers to determine best solution to assist roadside breakdowns.
- Performs facility maintenance duties
- Interacts with customers/drivers to properly determine nature of complaint once assigned a task.
- Instructs and advises other technicians regarding maintenance repair procedures and diagnostics
- Coaches/Mentors other level technicians
- Advise shop management and other technicians on shop repairs
- Utilizes key functions of Shop Management System and electronic documentation available
- Works in accordance with all federal/ provincial and corporate compliance guidelines (i.e., safety, DOT, MOT)
- Other support duties as required to support operations. These could include but are not limited to Service Island support.
