Position Overview

The Maintenance Technician Specialist provides advanced technical and engineering-level support to plant operations, with a focus on electrical systems, automation, PLC controls, and process optimization. This position plays a key role in maintaining equipment reliability, improving uptime, enhancing safety, and supporting production performance during 3rd shift operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, automation, and controls-related issues
  • Perform Allen-Bradley PLC troubleshooting and programming changes as required
  • Optimize process control parameters for new and existing equipment
  • Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve uptime
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions
  • Drive equipment and process improvements focused on safety, efficiency, and cost reduction

Required Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical systems
  • Proven experience troubleshooting and programming Allen-Bradley PLCs
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, PLC drawings, and control diagrams
  • Experience working with maintenance manuals, SOPs, and safety documentation
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to support and train team members
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability or willingness to obtain certifications for powered industrial equipment (forklifts, lifts, etc.)
