Onsite AI Engineer - Construction Industry Focus
New Haven, CT - Onsite 5 days per week

Role Summary
As the on-site catalyst who turns AI ideas into working reality. Partnering with each project’s AI Champion (Project Manager or Superintendent), you’ll uncover pain points, redesign workflows, and deploy AI agents that cut down reporting, accelerate RFIs, simplify lookahead planning, progress updates, materials tracking, and more. Responsibilities
- Workflow discovery and redesign: Lead Lean/Six Sigma workshops; map value streams; log high-impact AI agent opportunities that improve field efficiency.
- AI agent development: Build and deploy multiple production-ready AI agents using Copilot Studio, Power Apps/Automate, ChatGPT Enterprise, or code-first frameworks. Integrate agents into Teams/SharePoint on the front end and Databricks Lakehouse or other enterprise data sources on the back end.
- RAG pipelines and LLMOps: Design and operate retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines with Databricks Delta Tables, Unity Catalog, and Vector Search (or Spark/Hadoop equivalents). Monitor cost, latency, adoption, and model drift.
- Cross-cloud orchestration: Blend OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, and AWS Bedrock services through secure custom connectors to maximize flexibility and adoption.
- Data integration: Partner with Data Engineering to deliver ETL/ELT pipelines, API integrations, and event-driven connectors that feed RAG pipelines and AI agents.
- Change management and adoption: Train field teams, gather feedback, iterate quickly, and embed agents into SOPs. Track usage and ROI with adoption metrics and behavior-change KPIs.
- Stakeholder communication: Translate technical results into business value for leadership and clients. Contribute use cases and playbooks for the “Construction Site of the Future.”
- Compliance and hand-offs: Ensure all AI solutions meet the company’s data governance and security standards. Draft clear user stories and specs for escalation to central AI/Data Engineering teams when necessary.

- 4+ years in AI engineering, data science, or ML-focused software engineering.

Position Overview
The Process Chemist will report directly to the Director of R&D Chemistry and will work in the P2 Process Lab that includes piloting and process optimization functions for transfer to Production. Responsibilities for this role will include planning experiments, operating the pilot reactors, and conducting downstream purification at the multi-kilo scale. The Process Chemist will also work on new process chemistry and reactor technology to advance next generation manufacturing technologies. All P2 employees must work in a safe and conscientious manner to ensure a healthy and productive work environment.
The ideal candidate possesses hands-on process chemistry experience, is comfortable working autonomously, and understands how to develop experimental protocols, operate advanced reactor technology, and maintain detailed records for production optimization.
Key Responsibilities
Process Development
- Work with the Director of R&D to perform all work safely and in accordance with all P2 EHS objectives
- Carry out continuous piloting campaigns on advanced reactor systems for process optimization and sample preparation
- Conduct basic maintenance on equipment and recommend design improvements
- Design experiments to advance optimization studies across all key variables, including safety, economics, and sustainability
- Work to optimize downstream purifications to optimize for yield, purity, and waste reduction
- Assist in the invention of development of next generation reactor technologies for biobased feedstocks
Tech Transfer

The Principal Mechanical Design Engineer (Data Center Infrastructure) is a technical leader responsible for the architecture, integration, and validation of advanced mechanical systems supporting hyperscale data center environments. This role requires deep expertise in liquid cooling technologies (single-phase and two-phase), hydronic system design, structural integration, and manufacturable rack-level infrastructure solutions.
This role is responsible for defining system performance requirements, developing technical specifications, selection and integration of critical components, and leading mechanical design from concept through production release. Responsibilities include wetted material selection, thermal and structural analysis, fastening strategies, component layout, and design for manufacturability. Partners cross-functionally to deliver reliable, scalable, and cost-effective Data Center Infrastructure solutions while advancing innovation in liquid cooling performance.
What will you do?
- Lead the end-to-end mechanical design and engineering of hyperscale Data Center Infrastructure (DCI) systems, including liquid-cooled rack assemblies, CDUs, manifolds, enclosures, structural frames, and associated hydronic piping systems.
- Serve as the technical authority for single-phase and two-phase liquid cooling architectures, including primary and secondary loop design, in-rack distribution, and system integration within hyperscale data center environments.
- Define and validate operational performance requirements for liquid-cooled infrastructure, including pressure ratings, hydrostatic limits, temperature ranges, flow rates and uniformity, thermal expansion, durability, and serviceability.
- Design, analyze, and validate machined components, welded fabrications, manifolds, and structural systems using advanced engineering principles, including stress analysis, finite element analysis (FEA), flow modeling, and structural load calculations to ensure mechanical integrity and code compliance.
- Lead wetted material selection and compatibility analysis for liquid cooling systems, including corrosion mitigation strategies, surface treatments, cleanliness standards, and long-term durability considerations.
- Develop and review CAD models and complete technical data packages using CREO, SolidWorks, or equivalent tools; ensure design accuracy, manufacturability, and system-level integration.
- Author and approve technical specifications for piping systems, rack-level cooling infrastructure, and hydronic components, including installation guidelines, maintenance procedures, testing requirements, and compliance with applicable standards (ASME, ISO).
- Establish and oversee validation protocols including hydrostatic pressure testing, leak detection and mitigation, flow resistance analysis, and corrosion verification to ensure regulatory compliance and operational reliability.
- Evaluate customer design proposals and technical specifications to assess feasibility, manufacturability, cost, and risk; provide recommendations to optimize performance and total cost of ownership.
- Lead cross-functional design reviews with electrical, thermal, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure full system integration and compliance with product specifications and applicable plumbing and hydronic codes.
- Optimize rack manifold design and manufacturing processes, including machining, welding, surface finishing, connection interfaces, venting and draining strategies, and flow path optimization to enhance performance and manufacturability.
- Drive continuous improvement in manufacturing assembly methods and tooling in collaboration with production teams and equipment vendors to improve quality, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Lead root cause investigations for complex mechanical failures identified during validation or field deployment and implement corrective design improvements.

THE POSITION We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a Lead Software Engineer position for our Platform Engineering team which is responsible for designing and building tools and workflows for our internal software engineering teams. These systems will allow them to build and deploy applications effortlessly, allowing them to focus on building business functionality for their users. Your work will directly support enterprise-wide initiatives, helping teams across the organization streamline operations, improve reliability, and accelerate delivery. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems and collaborating with other engineers to create highimpact internal platforms. The ideal candidate should have experience enabling IT organizations to work more efficiently, standardize best practices, and reduce friction across the development lifecycle. This includes creating reusable components, automation frameworks, and platform capabilities that empower our engineering teams.
KEYS TO THE POSITION
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering
- Proficient in Python with experience building tools using widely adopted libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Requests, BeautifulSoup, FastAPI, and SQLAlchemy
- Skilled in packaging, testing, and deploying Python applications using tools like pytest, setuptools, and Docker
- Hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing cloud-native applications using AWS services (e.g., EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, CloudFormation), with a strong grasp of scalable and secure architecture principles.
- Experience designing and operating DevOps platforms including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Jenkins), and container orchestration using ECS or EKS - Experience designing and operating monitoring, logging, and performance optimization tools (e.g., OpenSearch, Open Telemetry, CloudWatch, X-Ray)
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Attention to detail, self-discipline, and passion to drive and innovate
- Must be comfortable with test-driven development, continuous integration, and agile development methodologies using tools like GIT, Artifactory, and Jenkins
- Experience working with offshore development teams is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, or related field, or equivalent experience is preferred

Responsibilities:
- Modernize legacy microservices and distributed systems supporting mechanical operations and detector networks.
- Design and implement backend services using Java, Spring Boot, event-driven patterns, and Kafka.
