Assistant/Associate Teaching Professor - Department of Education
The Department of Education in the College of Arts & Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth invites applications for an Assistant or Associate Teaching Professor. This position will focus primarily on the Masters of Art in Teaching (MAT) and the Education Leadership and Policy Studies Doctoral (EdD) programs. The position start date is September 1, 2026.
This distinctive position is designed for an accomplished educational leader who brings significant field experience in K-12 educational administration and a demonstrated commitment to bridging the gap between educational leadership theory and practice. The successful candidate will leverage substantial administrative expertise to prepare the next generation of educational leaders while maintaining vital connections between the university and the regional K-12 educational community.
The appointment level will be made commensurate with experience. Position Overview

Duties
The successful candidate will be an engaging and effective educator with a strong commitment to student learning and success, The successful candidate will also have substantial professional experience in educational leadership roles. Responsibilities include:
- Teaching educational leadership courses at the graduate (EdD and MAT) and undergraduate levels, with particular emphasis on courses such as Transformative Educational Leadership, Classroom Interactions, and related curriculum
- Mentoring EdD students through all phases of their doctoral program, including dissertation advising, drawing on practical leadership experience
- Developing and sustaining strategic partnerships with K-12 school districts, administrators, and educational organizations throughout the region
- Supporting student recruitment and program development initiatives
- Implementing inclusive and evidence-based teaching and learning approaches informed by field experience to ensure the academic success of a diverse student population
- Collaborating with faculty to develop curriculum that reflects current leadership practices and challenges in K-12 education
- Providing academic advising to graduate and undergraduate students
- Conducting program-level assessment, including data collection and analysis of programmatic data for continuous improvement and accreditation
- Participating in university service activities, including committee work
- Serving as liaison between the university and the K-12 educational community
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must have:
- Earned a doctoral degree (Ed.D. or Ph.D.) in Educational Leadership, Higher Education Administration, Curriculum and Instruction, or closely related field. The degree must be conferred by September 1, 2026.
- A minimum of five years of administrative leadership experience in K-12 education
- Experience teaching at the college level and/or substantial experience in professional development and adult learning
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- A demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence and student success
- Authorization to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis

Assistant/Associate Professor Positions in Biology and Bioengineering
The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth invites applications for multiple tenure-track faculty positions in the life sciences and biotechnology. Appointment will be at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in either the Department of Biology or of Bioengineering beginning in September 2026.
The Biology Department in the College of Arts and Sciences is seeking candidates with a teaching and research focus in biotechnology, genetic engineering, synthetic biology, or molecular biology, whose research crosses boundaries of traditional life science disciplines and addresses questions of broad significance. Research focusing on questions in the marine environment, using marine model species, or addressing fundamental biological questions with potential relevance to life sciences is of particular interest. The Bioengineering Department in the College of Engineering seeks applications across the full breadth of biomedical engineering. The Lead Electrical CAD Designer will be responsible for creating detailed model designs, modifying existing designs, and working collaboratively with engineers and other team members to meet product specifications. The ideal candidate has in-depth knowledge of various electrical design tools, is detail-oriented, and can effectively communicate design ideas. A strong understanding of Electrical design principles, manufacturing processes, power distribution, automation control (PLC), and electronic device parts are critical. This role will involve selecting key components, developing detailed drawings for control panels, power distribution systems, electrical wiring, and transitioning design to manufacturing.
What will you do?
- Creating 2D and 3D models of electrical systems, particularly for complex projects or when visualization is needed

This role is responsible for defining system performance requirements, developing technical specifications, selection and integration of critical components, and leading mechanical design from concept through production release. Responsibilities include wetted material selection, thermal and structural analysis, fastening strategies, component layout, and design for manufacturability. Partners cross-functionally to deliver reliable, scalable, and cost-effective Data Center Infrastructure solutions while advancing innovation in liquid cooling performance.
What will you do?
- Lead the end-to-end mechanical design and engineering of hyperscale Data Center Infrastructure (DCI) systems, including liquid-cooled rack assemblies, CDUs, manifolds, enclosures, structural frames, and associated hydronic piping systems.
- Serve as the technical authority for single-phase and two-phase liquid cooling architectures, including primary and secondary loop design, in-rack distribution, and system integration within hyperscale data center environments.
- Define and validate operational performance requirements for liquid-cooled infrastructure, including pressure ratings, hydrostatic limits, temperature ranges, flow rates and uniformity, thermal expansion, durability, and serviceability.
- Design, analyze, and validate machined components, welded fabrications, manifolds, and structural systems using advanced engineering principles, including stress analysis, finite element analysis (FEA), flow modeling, and structural load calculations to ensure mechanical integrity and code compliance.
- Lead wetted material selection and compatibility analysis for liquid cooling systems, including corrosion mitigation strategies, surface treatments, cleanliness standards, and long-term durability considerations.
- Develop and review CAD models and complete technical data packages using CREO, SolidWorks, or equivalent tools; ensure design accuracy, manufacturability, and system-level integration.
- Author and approve technical specifications for piping systems, rack-level cooling infrastructure, and hydronic components, including installation guidelines, maintenance procedures, testing requirements, and compliance with applicable standards (ASME, ISO).
