The AV Engineer’s purpose is to ensure that their assigned events and/or activities are highly organized and well executed, resulting in the complete satisfaction of Edgewater guests attending the event. The Audio-Visual Engineer is responsible for overseeing and supporting all aspects and needs of audio-visual technology for The Edgewater Hotel.

Essential Job Function

• Set up and run all aspects of audio visual for events on site including but not limited to: stage and house lighting, microphones, house screens and projectors, house and powered speakers, switching of audio and video feeds (single and multi-camera), mixing audio via an audio board.
• Setting up a/v equipment in meeting rooms based on requests.
• Adjusting to clients' needs as they change.
• Keep close communication with group's contact before and during event.
• Informing the Supervisor and Banquet Captains of any a/v changes for billing purposes.
• Provide audio setup, support, and monitoring during concert events.
• Working with consultants, vendors, and acts to provide the best sound possible while maintaining acceptable sound levels to stay within compliance of City ordinances.
• Understanding functions and applications of various a/v equipment used.
• Taping down power and phone cords to Edgewater standards.
• Adjusting in room lighting in all meeting rooms.
• Replacing light bulbs in meeting room fixtures and a/v equipment.
• Installing telephone equipment in meeting rooms.
• Removing a/v equipment from meeting rooms promptly after event concludes.
• Ensuring a/v equipment is returned in proper working condition and placed in proper storage areas.
• Developing technical knowledge of current equipment, as well as new arrivals.
• Directly reports to AV Manager.
• Perform other related duties that may be assigned by Banquet Management team.

Qualifications

• Digital video camera operation and theory

This role owns the financial operations of the business and supports sales execution so momentum, cash flow, and client confidence are never constrained by the founder.

You operate as a trusted proxy for the founder, with real authority over financial execution, revenue operations, and client follow-through. If it touches money, forecasting, invoicing, payroll, or sales follow-up, you own it.

This is a role for someone who brings judgment, professionalism, and calm authority, not someone waiting for direction.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Financial Ownership & P&L Visibility (Primary)

You fully own day-to-day financial operations and clarity, including:

• End-to-end ownership of P&L accuracy and visibility
• Payroll execution and review
• Accounts payable and vendor payments
• Invoicing, accounts receivable, and payment follow-up
• Credit card and expense reconciliation
• Management of the accounting inbox and all financial communications
• Reducing outsourced accounting work by 80%+ through internal ownership
• Designing and enforcing clean, repeatable client onboarding and invoicing processes
• PO creation and follow-up to ensure engineering work starts without delay

The founder does not monitor QuickBooks, AR/AP, payroll, or invoice status.

2. Project Accounting, Forecasting & Cash Control

You ensure financial reality is always visible, current, and actionable.

This includes:

• Project-level financial tracking
• Revenue and cash flow forecasting
• Clear visibility into:
• When revenue is expected
• When cash is received
• Where timing, scope, or margin is drifting
• Surfacing risk early—before it becomes disruptive
• Providing clean inputs to support hiring, spending, and delivery decisions

This role exists to keep the business on offense, not reacting late.

3. Sales Execution Support & Revenue Operations

You support sales by ensuring nothing stalls due to lack of follow-up, organization, or discipline.

This includes:

• Owning inbound lead follow-up from website and HubSpot
• Prompt, professional calling and emailing of warm leads
• Ensuring every lead and deal has a clear next action
• Booking meetings without founder coordination
• Maintaining CRM discipline with zero stale deals
• Supporting phone and inbox management related to sales follow-up
• Coordinating with marketing, HubSpot workflows, and WordPress as needed

You are not the closer.

You ensure closers stay focused, prepared, and unblocked.

4. Client Experience & Professional Representation (Non-Negotiable)

You own the client journey from first contact through billing and project kickoff.

This includes:

• Managing onboarding from PO through project start
• Sending and tracking W-9s, ACH/wire details, intake forms, and onboarding materials
• Setting clear expectations around billing, milestones, and payment timing
• Acting as the primary point of contact for billing clarity and follow-through
• Ensuring a clean handoff from Sales to Engineering and Operations

Required Experience & Profile

This role is for someone with ownership-level experience, not support-only exposure.

• 2–10 years of experience in one or more of:
• Finance Operations

• Experience working closely with a founder or senior executive
• Proven comfort owning money, follow-up, and decisions
• Hands-on experience with:
• Invoicing, AR, and AP
• Financial operations and reporting

• Ability to exercise judgment without constant escalation

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Terra Engineering & Construction Corporation, an employee-owned company, has an opportunity for an Assistant Project Manager based out of Madison, WI. This position will provide project management support for all aspects of civil and foundation construction. This position will have some local and regional travel and may at times require being on the jobsite full time.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES

The specific responsibilities of the Assistant Project Manager include, but are not limited to, the following:

·  Understand the terms and scope of the construction contract.

·  Coordinate subcontractor activities.

·  Track material, production, and project costs.

·  Quality control and adherence to specifications.

·  Corresponding and negotiating with the Owner and Fed/Local Agencies.

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Material Planner to ensure a continuous supply of materials in support of our manufacturing schedules. This role manages purchase orders, internal production orders, and inventory to meet company objectives while collaborating with internal teams and external suppliers.

What You’ll Do:

• Supply ship dates for Sales Orders impacted by parts shortages.
• Maintain material master data, safety stock levels, and forecasts for all facilities in the U.S.
• Maintain planning system integrity and optimize parameters relative to material planning data.
• Ensure accurate purchase order (PO) dates are maintained and updated in MRP system.
• Create and release internal production orders to manufacture parts locally.
• Communicate, resolve, and expedite delays in material receipts with relevant departments.
• Order Airfreight components from internal suppliers for material shortages within company guidelines.
• Research, investigate, and resolve purchase order (PO) receipt and shipping discrepancies.
• Interact and collaborate with internal suppliers, manufacturing, sales, engineering, warehousing, logistics, and accounting.
• Prepare inventory and performance reports.

Project Management Duties:

• Develops a cost-effective plan and schedule for completion of project following a logical pattern for utilization of resources.
• Coordinates work of subcontractors working on various phases of multiple projects.
• Oversees performance of all trade contractors and reviews architectural and engineering drawings to make sure that all specifications and regulations are being followed.
• Is responsible for proper administration of construction contracts and for obtaining all necessary permits and licenses.
• Supervises assistant managers and superintendents, reviews their reports, checks on any reported difficulties, and corrects any safety violations or other reported deficiencies.
• Tracks and controls construction schedule and associated costs to achieve completion of projects within time and monies allocated.
• Reports to owner, architects and portfolio managers about progress and any necessary modifications of plans that seem indicated. Plans, implements, tracks and closeout / turnover of construction projects. Conducts project meetings.
• Manages day to day operational and tactical aspects of multiple construction projects in a supervisory role
• Manages day to day client interactions and expectations, directly or in a supervisory role
• Accurately forecasts revenue, profitability and project costs
• Manages to and achieves revenue goals set for projects
• Generates and issues regular internal and external project reporting through company software

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience managing commercial construction projects.
• Multi-family, large commercial, and/or industrial project experience is preferred.
• Associates or Bachelors Degree in Construction Management or related field is a plus.
