Job Title : Nuclear Engineer (Naval Reactors Engineer) Category / Component : Officer • Active Overview Design, regulate, and oversee the Navy's nuclear propulsion program, including reactor design, fleet operations, and eventual defueling and decommissioning of nuclear powered ships and submarines from Naval Reactors Headquarters and associated Department of Energy laboratories and shipyards.

Key Responsibilities Provide technical direction in areas such as reactor and fluid systems design, reactor physics, materials development, component design for steam generators, pumps, and valves, instrumentation and control for reactor and propulsion plants, testing and quality control, radiation shielding, and chemistry and radiological controls; review designs and analyses from laboratories, shipyards, and industry partners; coordinate with fleet units to ensure safe and reliable nuclear plant operation.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities You will work with a variety of Surfaces that include the interior and exterior of buildings such as buildings, curbs on roadways, parking lot spaces and fence repair.

You will make repairs to existing plumbing systems by removing, cleaning, replacing defective plumbing parts, unclogging sinks and toilets and shower drains, also doing minor electrical work, replacing Receptacles and face plates, painting and basic Cabinet Repairs.

You will oversee the Tool room, keeping tool room clean with tools in there identifying tool ID location, dispersing tools to different individuals and receiving tools back into the Tool Room placing tools back into the identified areas, Report Broken tools and keep tools in good working condition.

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications • Education Requirements: High School Diploma or GED equivalent • Level of Experience Requirements: 0-1 years related experience Must be a US Citizen.

Must be able to pass an ICE DHS Background check, Males Born after 12-31-59 Must be registered for Selective Service, if not Registered can do so online.
