Position: Engineering Manager
Location: Camden County, NJ
Position Summary
The Engineering Manager is responsible for leading a team of engineers and technical personnel who support the ongoing performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of existing manufacturing operations. This role ensures that production systems, processes, and products operate efficiently while driving initiatives related to cost reduction, product performance improvements, and operational excellence.
- The manager will serve as the primary engineering liaison to production, collaborating closely with operations, quality, supply chain, and product development teams to resolve technical challenges and implement process improvements. This is a hands-on leadership role suited for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is passionate about improving processes, quality, and product performance.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and technical staff responsible for supporting existing manufacturing operations.
- Foster collaboration between engineering, operations, and quality teams to drive operational excellence initiatives.
- Establish clear priorities and ensure engineering resources are effectively aligned with production needs.
Manufacturing & Production Support
- Serve as the primary engineering point-of-contact for manufacturing operations.
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to maximize production uptime and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate engineering definitions including bills of materials (BOMs), standard operating procedures (SOPs), drawings, and process specifications.
- Lead engineering projects focused on product performance improvements, cost reduction, and reliability enhancements.
Quality & Root Cause Analysis
- Partner with the Quality team to investigate production or field failures.
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Support quality initiatives aimed at improving product reliability and manufacturing consistency.
Engineering Change Management
- Manage and oversee the Engineering Change Order (ECO) process from initiation through implementation.
- Ensure engineering and quality documentation remains accurate and up to date.
- Coordinate cross-functional communication during product or process changes.
Process Improvement & Lean Initiatives
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing and statistical problem-solving methodologies.
- Identify opportunities to improve assembly processes, reduce waste, and optimize workflow.
- Support preventative maintenance initiatives and long-term equipment reliability.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with R&D, operations, supply chain, and customer support teams to support product lifecycle management.
- Assist supply chain teams with evaluation of alternate components or suppliers to mitigate supply risks.
- Ensure alignment between engineering initiatives and broader operational goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 10 years of engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership or management experience.
- Experience supporting manufacturing operations in a sustaining or production engineering capacity.
- Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and structured problem-solving methods.
- Experience with 3D CAD tools such as SolidWorks and the ability to interpret technical drawings.
- Familiarity with Engineering Change Orders (ECO) or Engineering Change Notices (ECN).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to solve complex technical issues in a fast-paced environment.
Conduct Receiving, In-process and Final Inspections of Parts, Containers, Shelters, and Welded Structural Steel Fabricated Assemblies by performing Dimensional Inspection, VT, and NDE IAW AWS and Military Specifications. Perform wind, light, water leak, and paint performance tests. Witness electrical testing on all components. Sign each traveler line item as each task is performed and checked before movement to next process step to maintain traceability. Calibrate and Maintain TME and Manufacturing equipment. Complete Inspection Reports, and Sign Product Conformance Release Finished Product. Maintain Records of Acceptance to ISO9001 Standard. Report findings to supervisor.
Job Summary:
This position reports to the Quality Manager. The ideal candidate possesses a basic understanding of manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, and welding processes of Structural Steel Products. Ability to read different types of schematic drawings. Ability to use basic inspection equipment, prepare and write inspection reports.
Responsibilities:
Accident prevention actively identify, correct and/or report safety hazards to prevent accidents.
Actively identify and pursue cost reduction and efficiency/profit improvement opportunities.
Support the ISO 9001 Quality Management System and the Sea Box Quality Policy calling for self-inspection of your work product.
Determines quality and reliability standards by studying drawings and formulas; verifying specifications with engineering staff.
Perform NDE of Welds and Welding Processes IAW AWS, Military, and Customer Specifications.
Identifies raw material condition by inspecting materials samples; conducting inspections and physical tests of materials.
Identifies in-process product condition by inspecting samples during productions process; conducting in-process inspections and physical tests.
Determines disposition of finished products by collecting, classifying, analyzing, and interpreting production and quality data; determine product acceptability in comparison to specifications.
Determines acceptability or rework by conducting inspections and physical tests of reworked product.
Documents finished product status by recording and summarizing raw materials, in-process, and finished-product inspection and physical test data; updating quality assurance data based.
Maintains quality assurance operations by following quality assurance policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Perform precision inspection with equipment such as calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, plug gauges and comparator
Performs other duties as assigned

Employees are eligible for most benefits on the 1st of the month following date of hire.
Salary Range: $45,000 - $60,000
Location: This position is onsite (non-remote) at the Companys corporate headquarters in Cinnaminson, NJ. This position may occasionally require working overtime and/or working outside of the Companys normal 8:30am 5:30pm hours of operation.

Key Role Description
Responsibilities primarily involve day-to-day support of pipeline and terminal process control systems and associated applications, including, but not limited to, distributed regulatory control systems (SCADA and LDS systems), programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and process history data systems. Responsibilities also include support for the control portion of MIPC pipeline and terminal projects and day-to-day technical support to various other departments within the organization including operations, reliability, and IT. Much of the work is project-orientated and requires working on a number of projects and priorities simultaneously.

* Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent. Experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
* 2-5 years of experience with SCADA/PLC systems
* Gas, and/or Liquids pipeline experience preferred with a working knowledge of measurement technologies, process control automation, device protocols, networking, and telecommunications.
* Strong problem solving, technical, and functional skills with the ability to multi-task.
* Detail-oriented with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills and be willing to learn.
* A working knowledge of real-time systems, particularly SCADA systems or PLCs and RTUs is preferred.

Key Role Description
The Pipeline Engineer sustains project management and integrity management for reliable operations in compliance with all Federal and State Pipeline Regulations of all pipeline and facility assets. Performs front end studies, cost estimates, detailed design, and construction support of gathering and transmission pipelines & tanks in the MIPC system. Assumes responsibility for pipeline engineering and project management including scope, estimates, schedule and budget. Reviews all proposed construction on the pipeline Right-of-Way and corresponds with property owners. Maintains pipeline GIS system and integrity program. Responsible for the pipeline capital and expense projects, budgeting and forecasting. Maintains and promotes a focus on MIPC's final deliverables and maintains effective communications with other refinery engineering teams.

- Owner of the Geographic Information System (GIS) and responsible for the Tech department's updates utilizing previous Risk studies, Field Investigation Reports (IFR's), Cathodic Protection (CP), Integrity, High Consequence Area (HCA) data, Environmental and many other inputs.
- Assumes budgeting stewardship of OpEx/CapEx as well as interfacing with marketing and general project management oversight.
- Prepares and maintains design basis and assist with the project planning, scheduling, manpower estimates; Prepares cost estimates including material, equipment, and labor costs.
- Develops specifications and drawings for construction, utilizing engineering practices, standards, codes and procedures.
- Prepares bid documents for material, equipment, and construction.
- Prepares material and equipment requisitions and review vendor drawings and bids to determine compliance with specifications.
- Consults with construction personnel, concerning design constructability as related to field conditions, sequencing and scheduling of construction activities.
- Interfaces with the client's technical personnel on specific project design items or tasks
- Responsible for all equipment design documentation and manages reliability engineering efforts at the Pipeline.
- Provide technical support and observation services during design and construction.
- Responds to all Design One Calls submitted to MIPC.
- Interacts frequently with MIPC Operation, Maintenance & Tech/Regulatory Leads, with key technical and industry trade associations to establish best practices and ensure the facilities are in compliance with all applicable regulations, including participation in trade committees and/or teams.
- May function with responsibility for monitoring work activities of a project team and ensuring that all project work is performed in accordance with Company procedures.
- Provides recommendations for system operational improvements through submission of capital and expense projects as part of the annual budgeting process and performs budget re-forecasting as appropriate. Maintains long-term capital budget.
- Participates in ALL Emergency Response activities, is IC-300 trained (or able to acquire said training w/ MIPC), participates in IC responses and exercises and capable of acting as Planning Section Chief during an incident 24/7/365, or other roles as/where needed.
- Leads and promotes a safety culture by ensuring emergency and safety procedures, policies, documentation procedures and equipment operating parameters are within all applicable regulations (DOT and PSMS).

Role Overview:
The Vice President & General Manager will lead operations for Veranova’s West Deptford site, a high-throughput API manufacturing facility specializing in small molecules and controlled substances. This role is accountable for driving process excellence, ensuring compliance with DEA and FDA regulations, and delivering operational and financial performance. The GM will foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement while collaborating with Veranova’s Leadership Team to leverage growth opportunities across multiple sites internationally.
Core Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership:
- Able to define a vision for a site of approximately 200 staff members, including the development of a 3 to 5 year operating plan
- Prior experience managing responsibility of the P&L and balance sheet for a manufacturing site.
- Deliver annual revenue, profit, EBITDA, and cash targets through effective P&L management.
- Execute capital projects on average of +$10M to ensure facilities, equipment, and systems meet production demand and compliance requirements.
- Develop and execute site master plan which includes building talent capabilities that results in the site meeting branded large pharma industry standards to facilitate new business.
- Regulatory & Compliance:
- Ensure strict adherence to cGMP, FDA, and DEA regulations for controlled substances.
- Maintain FDA audit readiness and compliance with OSHA, EPA, DEA and other regulatory agencies.
- Process Excellence & Operational Performance:
- Drive process improvement initiatives, lean manufacturing, and digital transformation to optimize throughput and reduce costs.
- Assess site operations and drive execution of cost reduction initiatives to improve productivity and profitability of products
- Implement best practices for manufacturing
- Deep understanding in Process Safety Management, Environmental understanding, including wastewater treatment plant operations and security programs.
- Oversee ERP and compliance systems (including D365) for operational efficiency.
- Commercial & Customer Focus:
- Partner with Commercial teams to define and execute strategies for revenue growth and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure timely delivery of products in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- People Leadership:
- Recruit, develop, and retain high-caliber talent through succession planning and performance management.
- Demonstrates deep understanding on cultural transformation
- Foster a culture of engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Business Development:
- Enable the site to deliver late -phase/commercial CDMO programs that include the acquisition of new customers, tech transfer and scale up production.
- Participate in strategic initiatives including market expansion, technology alliances, and evaluation of new products.
- Support acquisition and rationalization activities as needed.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
- 15+ years in API small molecules pharmaceutical manufacturing leadership roles, with proven expertise in cGMP, FDA, and DEA compliance for APIs and controlled substances.
- Proven experience in generics manufacturing with knowledge and capabilities to meet big pharma branded business.
- Demonstrated success in operational turnarounds, quality remediations, or start-up of manufacturing facilities.
- Strong background in process optimization and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and change management skills.
- Detail oriented, advance analytical capabilities and high learning agility
- Ability to manage complex operations and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
- Understanding transactional process improvements
- Understand how to develop and implement operating mechanism and meeting structure to manage operations at the site, including the definition and implementation of KPIs and tier meetings.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $52,500.00- $122,500.00.
