JOB DESCRIPTION

BHE GT&S has an exciting career opportunity for an Engineer I/Engineer II/Sr Engineer or Sr Engineer II within our Drilling, Rework and Stimulation group located at our White Oaks General Office in Bridgeport, WV.

RESPONSIBILITIES

This role is responsible for drilling new wells, reworking existing wells, plugging and abandoning wells, changing out of wellheads and completing stimulation events on gas storage wells. It provides project management and construction support for storage operation and maintenance initiatives from conceptual stage through successful implementation.

Other duties/responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Oversight of outside consultants or contractors
  • Preparing cost estimates and forecasts
  • Project management and construction support
  • Request for proposals and professional services
  • Negotiations with vendors
  • Invoice review and approval


QUALIFICATIONS

Engineer I:
0-2 years of related engineering experience

Engineering degree from an accredited college/university, Internship preferred.

Engineer II:

Engineering degree from an accredited college/university and 1-3 years' experience.

Sr Engineer/Sr. Engineer II:

Engineering degree from an accredited college/university and 5 years industry experience. PE license preferred.

Engineer I/ Engineer II:
  • Four-year ABET accredited engineering degree (Engineer)
  • Ability to monitor changes in technology with skill in developing, testing and recommending new ideas and strategies for the utilization of those changes.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret engineering schematics, drawings, and technical manuals.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare technical reports, project schedules, and cost estimates.
  • Ability to lead, work independently, communicate effectively, and establish rapport.
  • Ability to define problems, collect accurate data, draw valid conclusions, and develop solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively operate a personal computer and common software applications.

Sr Engineer/Sr Engineer II:
  • Four-year ABET accredited engineering degree (Engineer).
  • Full knowledge of engineering theories and principles.
  • Skilled in use of advanced techniques and modification and extension of theories, precepts and practices of the field and related sciences and disciplines.
  • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to serve as team project lead.
  • Provide guidance to less experienced engineers.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills (includes technical writing).
  • Strong personal computer skills.
  • Ability to think analytically and solve complex problems.
  • Ability to interpret codes, regulations and practices.
  • In depth knowledge of various computer applications, with the ability to manipulate personal computer applications and perform engineering calculations using applicable software programs (e.g., Matlab, Excel, etc.).
  • Equally effective working independently or in team environment.
  • Proven decision-making skills.
  • Ability to process information quickly and effectively manage multiple tasks.

Possess a 4-year engineering degree from an institution outside of the U.S. which is accredited through the country's own engineering accrediting body under the Washington Accord as a full signatory, and is a degree that was recognized by the country's accrediting body on or after the date that full signatory status was achieved, or

Possess a 4-year engineering degree from a non-ABET accredited program and a post-graduate engineering degree from an institution where the undergraduate degree in the same engineering discipline is ABET accredited based on the year the engineering program was accredited by ABET, or

Possess a 4-year degree in Physics, Chemistry, Math or Engineering Technology and a post-graduate engineering degree from an institution where the undergraduate degree in the same engineering discipline is ABET accredited based on the year the engineering program was accredited by ABET, or

BHE GT&S has an exciting opportunity as a Market Development Representative, Senior Market Development Representative, or Account Director at our Headquarters in Richmond, VA or at our General Office building located in Bridgeport, WV.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The BHE GT&S-owned gas processing and fractionation facilities produce approximately 100 million gallons of Natural Gas Liquids (NGL) per year, including propane, butane and natural gasoline. This position supports both the logistics/scheduling side and the sales/marketing side of the NGL business. The position will engage with product sale-side logistics including vessel tracing, scheduling and destination shipping of commercial grade purity NGL's to balance daily production inventories and maintain plant operational success. This role engages closely with customers, operational personnel and various internal and external stakeholder parties. The position includes related research and analysis assignments and supports product and financial forecasting along with monthly accounting closing. The role includes negotiating NGL sales transactions and also development of new customer relationships. The position troubleshoots issues related to NGL logistics/shipping, plant inventory management, operations and customer sales agreements.

The successful candidate will:
  • Interact directly with customers, plant operations, third party transporters and internal groups.
  • Prepare transportation arrangements related to the sale and shipment of natural gas liquid products (propane, butane, natural gasoline) by pipeline, railcar, barge and truck.
  • Support marketing of natural gas liquid products through negotiation of term and spot sales transactions.
  • Actively engage with customers and research and develop new business relationships for potential market share expansion.
  • Develop and maintain databases and forecasts relating to production, inventory, sales, industry pricing and revenue, and prepare financial summaries.
  • Research, compile, filter, manipulate and distribute relevant industry information using related publications, databases, outside consultants, and other resources.
  • Prepare reports and presentation materials for senior management.
  • Perform statistical analysis (e.g., market trends, sales, service and throughput comparisons, etc.).
  • Negotiate terms of service with principle parties.
  • Maintain awareness of customer activities and needs.
  • Analyze competitors strategic intent, capabilities, competencies and business or financial drivers in order to provide conclusions and implications as a key input into the overall BHE GT&S strategy development process.
  • May lead certain sub-teams with responsibility and accountability by coordinating internal and external resources, as needed to manage and deliver results.


QUALIFICATIONS

Market Development Representative:

At least 3 years' directly related experience

Senior Market Development Representative:

At least 5 years' directly related experience, with minimum three years' gas/NGL market experience and complete understanding of market drivers.

Account Director:

Seven years' directly related experience, with minimum five years' gas/NGL market experience and complete understanding of market drivers.

All Levels:
  • Knowledge of marketing, economic, and finance principles.
  • Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) and Hazardous Materials guidelines regarding handling and shipping NGL products
  • Familiarity with relevant facilities and competitors within market area.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to speak persuasively, negotiate, and develop rapport.
  • Ability to define and analyze problems, collect data, and draw conclusions.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work
  • Ability to plan and organize work schedule independently.

Education

Responsibilities: Under general supervision and medical direction performs respiratory care related procedures. Exercises considerable judgment in accordance with physician's treatment plan and within the scope of departmental policies and procedures. Scope of practice includes patient/family assessment and management, resource management, care facilitation, and discharge planning as required. Assesses resident's condition, administers prescribed therapy and aerosolized medications, observes and records resident's progress and response to therapy modalities including adverse reactions to drugs and therapy. Provides in-service training to residents, family members, and facility staff. Resident population is primarily adult and geriatric. Utilizes knowledge of the principles of growth and development appropriate to the resident's age to ensure that care provided meets the unique, physical and psychological needs of the resident. Involves appropriate parties (i.e. resident's family or facility staff) in the assessment, treatment, and continuing care of the resident as needed. Initiates, monitors and maintains life support systems for residents in the skilled nursing facility.
Performs airway care and maintenance.
Manages artificial ventilator status as directed by an approved protocol.
Maintains and troubleshoots mechanical ventilators.
Participates in cardiopulmonary resuscitation procedures of bag ventilation and closed chest massage.Initiates, monitors and documents performance of various respiratory care modalities.Performs assessment of residents' cardiopulmonary status utilizing physical assessment and history taking skills, laboratory findings, radiological studies of the chest, pulmonary function testing and professional judgment to formulate a respiratory care plan upon the order of a physician.Performs various tasks prior to treating a resident as follows:
Check physician's orders for completeness.
Orders to include: diagnosis, ICD -10 code, type and duration of therapy, type and dosage of medication, FI02 and frequency.
Check resident's chart for history, physical and for pertinent information to determine precautions to be observed at bedside.
Observe and chart: pulse, respiration, breath sounds (number and quality), and resident's general appearance, including breathing exercises and teaching and training to residents.
Notify supervisor of all new starts and discontinued residents.Administers proper technical respiratory care procedures. Dispenses proper dosage of medication, acquires and adjusts devices to insure optimal results from therapy. This includes mask, mouthpiece, or Trach equipment for resident's comfort and ease of operation, regulates flow and pressure of equipment. Observes resident's respiratory rate and pattern, pulse, breath sounds, reaction to medication, any difficulty with therapy during and after treatment. Chart and communicate to the resident's nurse any pertinent information. Observe thorough and accurate charting technique.Inspects and tests equipment, disassembles, cleans, reassembles equipment as required. Maintains adequate supply of necessary equipment. Performs administrative duties and record keeping when required. Disposes of equipment properly.Assists in emergency cardio-pulmonary resuscitation as an integral part of the emergency team. Therapist is required to be CPR certified.8. Initiates, administers, evaluates response to, and documents all therapy modalities according to departmental procedure and ordered by a physician including: intermittent positive pressure breathing, hand held nebulizer, chest physical therapy modalities, including percussion, vibration, breathing and cough retraining exercises, deep tracheal suctioning, incentive spirometry, sputum induction.Recognizes resident's adverse reaction to therapy modalities and takes correct action.Documents all resident care services rendered as part of a medical record.Accepts and transcribes verbal orders related to respiratory care procedures.Sets up, maintains and records log entries on all types of oxygen and respiratory supplies and equipment as required.Instructs residents and family members in the rationale and methodology of every respiratory procedure administered to each resident to facilitate resident cooperation, understanding and efficiency of treatment.
