Overview:
The Finance and Accounting Intern (Intern) will be part of a collaborative team in a Shared Finance Services (SFS) environment. The Intern will be responsible for ensuring the completion and accuracy of accounting and finance functions of Six Flags Entertainment Corporation. Limited opportunities exist in these accounting disciplines: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Business Transformation, Financial Accounting, Financial Planning and Analysis, Operational Accounting, Payroll, Revenue Accounting, and Treasury.
Ideal candidates will commit to a minimum of thirteen (13) weeks in an Intern position. Preferred candidates should be currently enrolled in an associate or bachelor’s degree program to join the team. The Intern will be immersed in day-to-day work activity in one of the above accounting disciplines over the term of the internship AND will attend twice-weekly half-day educational workshops with leaders in other accounting and business administrative disciplines to develop a comprehensive knowledge of accounting, finance and general business practices within Six Flags.

Responsibilities:
Accounting Disciplines:
The intern will have the opportunity to immerse in day-to-day work activity in one of these disciplines and will have the added benefit of learning and gaining skills in the other disciplines through the weekly workshops:
- Accounts Payable
- Assist in processing weekly Accounts Payable disbursements.
- Review vendor statements for accuracy.
- Accounts Receivable
- Develop an understanding of how to retrieve information from a lockbox to apply payments to correct customer or account.
- Assist in reconciling designated Accounts Receivable balance sheet accounts.
- Review and resolve discrepancies in an Accounts Receivable Aging report.
- Business Transformation
- Work with the Accounting Information Systems (AIS) team and learn about the financial systems used at Six Flags.
- Assist the Business Transformation team in gathering data for report generation and decision making.
- Practical experience in this area will lend visibility to participating in projects and fostering the future vision of the financial systems to be used.
- Financial Accounting
- Work with staff accountants, supervisors, and managers to assist in writing journal vouchers, reconciling general ledger accounts and observing the relations between accounting and Park level operational departments.
- Financial Planning and Analysis
- Take a deep dive into how the Six Flags budget is developed and then follow how this team connects with Park Leaders in trend analysis and forecasting.
- Assist in ad-hoc financial analysis to help Park leaders make informed strategic decisions.
- Capital and Project Accounting
- Learn how capital investment projects and budgets are developed, how this team tracks adherence to budget and how construction in progress (CIP) is transacted to a fixed asset in the general ledger.
- Payroll
- Observe how multi-state/multi-national payroll is compiled and completed in a timely manner for thousands of associates and how associated government reports are completed and filed.
- See how Park teams monitor and approve associate work time, how the Workforce Management team assists in scheduling and maximizing labor productivity and how a partnership with Human Resources is critical in compliance.
- Revenue Accounting
- Become proficient in completing the daily revenue accounting process by importing and validating data between Point of Sale (POS) systems and accounting systems.
- Compile, review, and distribute daily operational reports to park leadership.
- Assist in the reconciliation of assigned Revenue balance sheet accounts.
- Treasury
- Assist in identifying and reducing fraud related to Treasury Services where response time is critical and must be managed immediately or assist in daily credit card reconciliation and balancing to the bank statement and internal systems, assist with investigating all discrepancies and preparing journal vouchers.
- Other duties as assigned.

With just a few acres, Green Circle Growers began selling to other companies like variety stores, lumber yards, hardware stores, and grocery stores. POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Safety Manager leads the development and execution of a comprehensive safety, health, and environmental program supporting large-scale greenhouse operations. This role ensures full compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards while actively promoting a strong, proactive safety culture across greenhouse production, shipping, maintenance, and logistics teams. The position provides safety leadership for Green Circle Growers, Fresh2U Transportation, and Express Seed Company, with a focus on regulatory compliance, safety directive implementation, continuous improvement in safety performance, and alignment of facility policies with governmental requirements.
JOB DUTIES:
- Identify best practices and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks, raise safety awareness, and improve safety work practices
- Conduct or coordinate worker training in areas such as safety standards and regulations, hazardous condition monitoring, and use of safety equipment
- Perform safety audits and inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards and ensure safety regulation compliance
- Provide technical advice, coaching, guidance, training, and mentoring to company leaders and team members on safety initiatives and necessary changes
- Prepare and continuously update written safety and health programs and policies
- Serves as the primary liaison between the company and OSHA; escort OSHA Compliance officers through facility upon inspection or audit; and support necessary follow-up
- Prepare and manage OSHA 301, 300, 300a reporting and ensure compliance, communication, and posting in necessary areas
- Respond to and investigate all industrial accidents, near-miss incidents, and occupational injuries to provide injury first response, determine causes, install preventive measures, and manage return-to-work activities
- Work closely with Workers' Compensation third party administrator (TPA) to assist in claims management
- Assist in coordination of Workers' Compensation return-to-work activities, including restrictions, temporary light-duty job offers, follow-up appointments, transportation arrangements, etc.
- Coordinate and lead Green Circle Growers Safety Committee including annual training, meeting agenda and minutes, safety inspection reports, and follow-up as necessary
- Lead and track safety recognition programs for all facilities and shifts
- Order and maintain facility safety inventory programs including supplies and equipment
- Lead and oversee the Green Circle Growers Sanitation Team, including hiring and training, performance management, coaching and mentoring, and other managerial tasks

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in safety science, occupational health, environmental science, engineering, industrial hygiene, or related discipline or relevant experience
- 3-7+ years of experience leading or coordinating safety in a manufacturing, agriculture, greenhouse, or industrial environment
- 1-2+ years of experience in a supervisory role
- 1-2+ years of experience with Workers' Compensation coordination
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety implementation
- Experience delivering safety training to diverse and multilingual workforces
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or other relevant certification preferred
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence others
- Strong organizational, detail orientation, and analytical skills
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred

Provide detailed design/plan development for water/wastewater treatment, pumping stations, sanitary collection systems, water distribution systems and construction inspection.
Collaborate on new business development for KEM water/wastewater services.
Develop technical specifications, permit applications, sewer system evaluation surveys, cost estimates, etc.
Assist with development of project scopes and schedules.
Provide other duties as assigned by Directors.
Capabilities Project coordination skills.
Knowledge and interest in treatment plants, pumping stations, collection and distribution systems along with other public infrastructure design.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Good problem solving/decision making skills.
Must be a versatile team player that shows an eagerness to learn (interpersonal skills).
Candidates shall be dependable and exhibit a positive attitude.
Experience in the construction industry and/or in-depth knowledge of construction processes is preferred.
Requires understanding and/or ability to learn Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.
Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering with 2+ years of experience.
