PURPOSE AND SCOPE

  • Interface askey technical contact with RHPC engineering in Milwaukee.

  • Meet established welding and assembly design criteria by ensuring compliance with work procedures and instructions.

  • Analyzes andplansspace requirements, workflow and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.

  • Ensure that all required tooling is in place andmeetsengineering designcriteria.

  • Responsible for the facility management of the Horn Lake facility on aday-to-daybasis.This includes theloadingdock equipment,forklifts, production equipment,machines,and operation of the mechanical equipment from plumbing to electrical.This position alsois responsible for theday-to-dayquality audits and feedback to the production team on a daily/weekly basis.

  • Ensure compliance withthe engineeringbudget that is in place on an annual basis.

  • Review/ order engineered product to ensure product structures and BOM's are correct.Work with Applications and Engineering to build labor and quality standards asrequired. He/she willassistandrecommend inthe automation of equipment and processes toassistin the ergonomic and productivity of manufacturing RHPC products.

  • In conjunction with manufacturing andpurchasing, complete Value Analysis projects to reduce current costs through redesign and/or use of alternate components.


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 5S to enhance efficiency, reducewasteand improve product quality.

  • Manage capital projects, including equipmentselection, layout planning, and justification for investment.

  • Analyze production metrics and root cause issues to improve, reduce downtime, and enhance process liability.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Mechanical,Industrial, or ManufacturingEngineeringor related fieldas well as five+years related experience including supervisory responsibility (or project management responsibilities) or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Must have working knowledge of Solid works and AutoCAD(or equivalent software).Thorough knowledge of BOM structures and itemmastersasrequiredfor manufacturing and engineering support.

  • In addition, knowledge of JD Edwardsrequiredas needed for engineering purposes.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Professional certifications such as Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or PMP.

Job Summary:

The Manufacturing Engineering Manager will provide key support in actively improving and driving processes and productivity. This position will support production, as well as improve and support current manufacturing, documentation, and processes metrics. Responsibilities:

  • Support new business opportunities by compiling detailed cost estimates that outline the manufacturing plan for that product (including process flow, equipment, hours, etc.)
  • Support design for manufacturing optimization on new product development and phase gate KPI.
  • Estimate manufacturing cost, determine time standards, and make recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines.
  • Compile a detailed timeline for all manufacturing launch activities, such as facilities, people, materials, processes, training, validation, etc., needed to support the start of production.
  • Responsible for all tooling and technical engineering support to implement new products and processes into production. Selects and creates SOW, Capex, designs, installs, and modifies equipment and fixtures for new product launches and existing products.
  • Leads process design functions to determine product flow through the manufacturing cell by use of current engineering and continuous improvement techniques. Establishes resource requirements and material flow using industrial engineering techniques and internal Company standards to establish optimum cell configuration (creation of the most efficient manufacturing cell from material inflow, through production, to outflow).
  • Analyzes various product structures and processes in order to eliminate inefficiencies and reduce manufacturing costs. Performs DOE analysis to determine optimum operating parameters by manipulating variables and analyzing how they interact to achieve the most efficient cell, measured in terms of processing time, quality, and cost.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of Mechanical, Industrial engineering experience, master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years design experience (Pro-E, AutoCAD, SolidWorks- preferably in tooling, fixture, and equipment design, including plant layout) preferred
  • Experience in NPI, Automation & Analytics, ERP/MES, Bill of Process, Welding, and Error Proofing.
  • Knowledgeable in high and low volume manufacturing (APQP, prototyping, GD&T, OEE, equipment and supplier selection, DFM, 8D, process capability, CAD, and PLM systems).

PURPOSE

Rite-Hite is seeking a Quality Manager to build and maintain a robust quality management system. In this role, you will develop a problem-solving approach to address daily quality concerns at our Horn Lake, MS facility. You will be preparing the location for ISO-compliant business systems and drive operational excellence principles across all functions to support continuous improvement in processes and performance metrics.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Follows through on set processes and ensures adherence to best production practices and product quality standards.

Reviews customer specifications and/or drawings and ensures consistent compliance to customer quality specifications, drawings, etc.

Provide information to Engineering and Purchasing regarding repeated quality issues in terms of production, installation, service, etc.

Develops and implements quality and process improvement plans, programs and procedures using continuous improvement techniques such as the 5 WHYs, 7 Step Problem Solving, PDCA, and other analysis methods.

Coordinates the investigation of problems and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies.

Must be able to use small quality hand tools such as calipers, etc.

Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.

Performs audits as required against the product, product components, subassembly areas, and uses independent judgement for structural and functional aspect of the product.

Performs process audits of production and support functions to identify gaps and validate effectiveness of improvement activities.

Develops, deploys, and maintains the quality management system.

Develops, deploys, and maintains the supplier quality development process in conjunction with the Materials department.

Responsibilities include planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance via the development of measurable objectives; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Six sigma certification or equivalent problem-solving experience is required.

Demonstrated leadership in implementing Lean Manufacturing protocols.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree and minimum 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and/or experience in a manufacturing environment. The individual must be well organized, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Working knowledge of Lotus, Microsoft Office, JD Edwards and AS400 is desired. Basic understanding of Excel including charts, graphs and data analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Control Leadership

Job Summary

The EHS Compliance Specialist is a critical, high-visibility role responsible for the leadership, ownership, and continuous improvement of all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs. This position ensures complete compliance with OSHA, TOSHA, EPA, and internal quality standards (ISO 14001, IATF 16949 requirements) to maintain a proactive, injury-free work environment. The Specialist serves as the primary EHS subject matter expert and driver of safety culture change within the manufacturing facility.

Major Accountabilities

EHS Leadership & Culture

  • Owns and drives the site's EHS strategy, working collaboratively with the Plant Manager and Operations leadership.
  • Creates and sustains a proactive, behavioral-based safety culture through employee engagement, recognition programs, and strong visible leadership on the plant floor.
  • Leads the development, delivery, and documentation of all required safety and environmental training programs.

Compliance & Management Systems

Workers' Compensation & HR Collaboration
