We’re hiring a Project Geologist/Scientist/Engineer to work with our Durango, CO, team. In this role, you’ll work on a variety of technical projects from simple to complex. You’ll spend time tabulating and analyzing environmental data, making recommendations based on applicable regulations, writing technical reports, and collaborating with others regarding project planning and execution, technical strategies, and financials. Responsibilities


As a Project Geologist/Scientist/Engineer at Ensolum, your day-to-day responsibilities will vary, and they will typically include:


  • Tabulating and analyzing environmental field and laboratory data
  • Applying regulatory policies to clean up the environment
  • Recommending technical approaches
  • Implementing and ensuring health and safety best practices
  • Researching federal and state rules and regulations regarding environmental permitting, compliance, and remediation
  • Interfacing with clients and subcontractors
  • Preparing proposals, cost estimates, and technical reports
  • Managing projects within designated timeframes and budgets


Qualifications


We’re always looking for people who are self-motivated, learning-oriented, and client-centric. And to be considered for this role at Ensolum, you’ll also need a few more qualification requirements:


  • BS in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
  • At least 7 years of experience with environmental field sampling, data collection, and report writing
  • At least 2 years of experience managing environmental remediation projects and budgets, supervising project staff, and working with Colorado ECMC and New Mexico NMOCD regulations
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills
  • Safety awareness and understanding of safe work practices
  • Valid driver's license, safe driving record, and personal vehicle
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Able to pass drug & alcohol screening and background check


It would be great if you also have:

  • PE or PG certification in Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, and/or Wyoming
  • Current 40-hour HAZWOPER certification


We will provide some assistance with relocation to Durango, CO, for a well-qualified candidate.

Senior Environmental Scientist / Engineer (Oil & Gas Remediation)

I'm currently supporting a boutique environmental consulting firm with an established remediation practice supporting the energy sector across the Southern US.

Due to continued growth and a strong backlog of work, they are looking to add a Senior Environmental Scientist or Engineer (approximately 6 to 12 years' experience) to their team in Durango, Colorado.

This role focuses on soil and groundwater remediation projects tied to oil and gas operations, working within a fast paced consulting environment across the Four Corners region.

The Role

• Manage soil and groundwater remediation projects primarily for oil and gas clients

• Support spill response and corrective action work following releases

• Coordinate field teams and provide technical guidance on project execution

• Manage scopes of work, project budgets, and timelines

• Work across multiple projects simultaneously in a high pace consulting environment

Projects range from complex groundwater remediation sites to high volume spill response work, so strong project management and prioritisation skills are important.

Ideal Background

• 6 to 12 years of environmental consulting experience

• Strong background in soil and groundwater remediation

• Experience supporting oil and gas remediation or spill response projects

• Experience working within New Mexico oil and gas regulatory frameworks is essential

• Experience with Colorado regulations is a major plus

• Strong technical and project management capabilities

PG or PE licenses are welcome but not required.
