This position is suited for a mid-level to senior attorney who can handle matters from intake through final resolution, including trial when necessary. Compensation:

$86,000 - $120,000 yearly

Responsibilities:
  • Independently manage a full caseload of family law and/or civil litigation matters
  • Appear in Probate & Family Court and District or Superior Court as required
  • Draft and argue motions, evidentiary hearings, and trials
  • Handle divorce, custody, child support, alimony, contempt, modification, restraining orders, and removal matters
  • Address real estate issues arising in divorce, including equity division, partition, and escrow disputes
  • Conduct discovery, take depositions, and negotiate settlements
  • Prepare pleadings, motions, agreements, and judgments with precision and efficiency
  • Advise clients strategically and develop effective litigation plans
  • Work in coordination with paralegals and support staff to maintain organized, timely case progression
Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
  • Active license and good standing with the Massachusetts Bar
  • Minimum of five years of substantive experience in Family Law and/or Civil Litigation
  • Demonstrated courtroom presence and strong litigation skills
  • Ability to manage a full caseload independently

Responsibilities of the Real Estate Paralegal:

  • The Real Estate Paralegal will manage real estate closings from contract to post-closing, ensuring accuracy and compliance at every stage of the transaction.
  • Prepare, review, and manage all closing documents, including Closing Disclosures, ALTA forms, HUD-1 Settlement Statements, Title Commitments, and Closing Protection Letters.
  • Order and review all necessary documents for purchase and sale files.
  • Conduct title review and identify any issues that may impact clear title.
  • Manage and resolve title issues prior to closing by coordinating with relevant parties.
  • Communicate directly with seller attorneys, lenders, brokers, buyers, and sellers to coordinate closing logistics and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with TRID regulations and other applicable real estate laws.
  • Handle e-filings, disbursements, and preparation of post-closing packages.
  • Maintain accurate and organized files throughout the transaction lifecycle.
  • Provide support to attorneys and assist with training as needed.


Physical Requirements of the Real Estate Paralegal:

  • Working in an office environment for extended periods of time.
