Metropolitan Family Health Network (MFHN) is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) delivering quality, comprehensive healthcare to the underserved people of Hudson County, NJ. MFHN provides more than 50,000 patient visits per year from state-of-the-art, pleasantly appointed ambulatory units in Jersey City and West New York.

The OB/GYN Physician will provide OB patients with all aspects of antepartum and postpartum, and labor and delivery care; and GYN patients with all aspects of gynecologic care and procedures, including colposcopies, endometrial biopsies, and IUD insertions and removals. The MFHN OB/GYN Physician will maintain records and confidentiality; uphold quality assurance standards; guide residents as needed; and assist in developing working relationships with affiliated hospitals and external organizations. There is the added benefit of being covered by FTCA (Federal Tort Claims Act), which is the same malpractice coverage that is enjoyed by federal employees. 

The 35-hour/week position includes providing on-site and Telehealth care, rotating Saturdays, and rotating on-call coverage. Clinic coverage is 4-5 days per week. There is a minimal evening and weekend work requirement. 

The successful candidate will possess 3 yrs. OB/GYN progressive experience and excellent clinical skills; be Board Eligible or Board Certified; hold a NJ medical license, CDS/DEA registrations.

MFHN's Salary is Negotiable based on credentials and experience, and comprehensive benefits package which includes: 4 weeks vacation, 3 personal days; 10 paid holidays; continuing medical education time and reimbursement. The Selikoff Centers are part of the New York State Department of Health’s Occupational Health Clinic Network and designated by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health as World Trade Center Health Program (WTCHP) Clinical Centers of Excellence. 

The physician is expected to provide direct patient care in the clinical office setting in the Mount Sinai Selikoff Centers for Occupational Health, under the direction of the Medical Director.

Responsibilities

Physician will:

  • Provide evidence-based clinical evaluation and treatment for work-related injuries and illnesses

  • Provide outpatient care, monitoring and treatment of World Trade Center-disaster related illness

  • Perform medical screenings for groups with exposures to hazards, such as asbestos, lead, and other toxic substances

  • Perform disabilities evaluations and depositions, when applicable

  • Supervise ancillary providers

  • The position will require the knowledge and skills to provide evidence-based clinical evaluation and treatment for occupational injuries and illnesses, in particular for World Trade Center-related illnesses. This will entail the evaluation of whether or not patients’ conditions are substantially related to the exposure they experienced at the WTC disaster site and certification of exposure-disease relationships to federal agencies overseeing the WTC Health Program.

  • The physician will evaluate patients for occupationally-related disorders as a workers’ compensation credentialed provider. 

  • The incumbent must have the knowledge and skills to determine fitness for duty, perform disability assessments and consultations on occupational illness.

Qualifications

  • Medical Degree from an accredited program

  • New York State Medical License

  • BE/BC in Occupational Medicine, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine or Pulmonary Medicine.

Atlantic Health System, one of New Jersey's largest non-profit healthcare networks, is seeking an experienced Obstetrician & Gynecologist (OB/GYN) to work as a collaborating physician in a midwifery practice located at Overlook Medical Center in Summit, New Jersey. This collaborating physician will work closely with a team of experienced nurse midwives with the shared goal of giving exceptional care to our patients. 

You will provide collaboration, guidance, oversight, and direction to the nurse midwife team and should have experience working with nurse midwives in an academic setting. 

Overlook Medical Center is a 500-bed multi-residency, academic community-based hospital located 25 miles outside of New York City and serves a diverse patient population. As a leading healthcare provider in New Jersey, we are committed to providing high-quality care to our patients.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • All candidates must be board-certified
  • Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey
  • 3-5 years’ experience as an OB/GYN preferred
  • Experience collaborating with midwives in an academic setting preferred
