NTICU is a highly specialized team that provides care to those with complex traumatic injuries, complex medical diagnosis, along with neurologic and neuro-surgical emergencies that require critical care. While we are primarily a Trauma and Neuro / Neuro-Surgical unit, we do care for patients with other types of diagnosis requiring critical care. This allows us to support our community, and the other ICUs at Mercy, while challenging our own team to continue to learn and grow in our nursing practice.
- Education: High school diploma, G.E.D, CNA/CPTC. or enrolled in a healthcare career program through their high school curriculum, and/or a current co-worker of Mercy.
- Experience: None required.
- In the state of practice: If no previous experience, Mercy will provide a required 175-hour training program that meets the state of practice Department of Health and Senior Services requirements.
