The Equipment Technician is responsible for performing inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on mobile elevated work platforms (MEWPs) and related equipment. This role ensures all equipment is safe, compliant, and ready for sale or customer use, with work performed in accordance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and manufacturer specifications.


Responsibilities

Equipment Maintenance and Repair
  • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on aerial lifts, including boom lifts and scissor lifts
  • Work on diesel- and gasoline-powered engines, including troubleshooting fuel, starting, cooling, and performance issues
  • Independently diagnose and repair electric, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, including pumps, valves, cylinders, motors, wiring, and control systems
  • Read, interpret, and follow technical manuals, electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and service documentation
  • Identify worn or failing components and recommend corrective action
  • Serve as a technical resource for less experienced technicians as needed
Inspections and Documentation
  • Perform pre-delivery inspections (PDI) to ensure equipment meets manufacturer specifications and company quality standards prior to sale
  • Inspect customer-owned equipment and complete service or repair work accurately and efficiently
  • Document all maintenance, repairs, inspections, and safety checks to ensure traceability and compliance with company policies

  • Have delivered at least one child and are currently parenting
  • No more than two (2) C-sections
  • Not receiving government or public assistance (including Medicaid, WIC, SNAP/Food Stamps, or state-funded health insurance)
  • No history of pregnancy complications (including gestational diabetes, pre-eclampsia, or pre-term labor)
  • No history of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, or major depressive disorder
  • Not currently taking medications unsafe for pregnancy (including certain mental health medications)
  • Able to travel for medical screening, monitoring, and embryo transfer appointments
  • Live a healthy lifestyle free of illicit or recreational drug use
  • Have a stable home environment and strong support system

Compensation & Benefits

We recognize the commitment, time, and care involved in being a gestational carrier. Compensation includes:

Base Compensation

  • $60,000 – $70,000

  • $10,500 for multiple birth
  • Up to $10,000 for loss of organs (per contract terms)
