The Radiology Interventional performs biopsies, places drains, does angio work but excluding the heart, does central line placements, and dialysis catheter placement.

Overview

Kidney/liver transplant surgery and hepatobiliary performs a variety of procedures, including pancreas transplants. Our kidney disease program is consistently ranked among the best in the nation by U.S.News & World Report, with more than 250 kidney transplants performed each year. Our multidisciplinary team is comprised of nurses, physicians, pharmacists, dieticians, social workers and spiritual caregivers who communicate daily to meet patient needs. The Alvin J. Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine is an international leader in cancer treatment, research, prevention, education and community outreach. Division 3200 is a 25 bed unit that provides care to oncology patients who are hospitalized for cancer treatment and symptom management, including support for Chemotherapy, pain management, support of radiation, intervention of blood products, etc. The care is moderate to high acuity. Care includes high complexity interventions. Care is coordinated by a multidisciplinary team including oncology nurses, advanced practice nurses, case managers, coordinators, social workers, spiritual care, pharmacy and psycho-social support.
