As a preeminent scholar, the Research Director is eligible for the Lauren B. Leichtman and Arthur E. Levine Endowed Chair in Women’s Health Research.
The Iris Cantor-UCLA Women's Health Center is recognized internationally as a center of excellence that integrates research and education with high-quality primary care specifically tailored for women. The center supports groundbreaking research on a variety of women's health issues, aiming to discover new and more effective preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic tools through basic and clinical research.
The Research Director will lead and oversee the research mission of the Iris Cantor-UCLA Women’s Health Center, integrating their funded program of research with opportunities supported by the Center. Additionally, the Research Director will co-chair the scientific committee of the Iris Cantor-UCLA Women’s Health Center, evaluating proposals for pilot research funding from faculty and advanced trainees in basic science and clinical departments to determine awards in collaboration with the UCLA Clinical and Translational Science Institute.
