Duties

During the course of their careers, Secret Service Police carry out assignments in protection. Duties include:

  • Providing protection for The White House Complex, The Vice President's Residence, The Main Treasury Building and Annex, and foreign diplomatic missions and embassies in the Washington, D.C. area.
  • Traveling in support of the Presidential, Vice Presidential, and foreign heads of state/government missions.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Possess a current valid U.S. driver's license.
  • Must be at least 21 years old at the time of application and under 40 at referral. Exceptions may apply for those with current or prior service in federal law enforcement positions covered by special retirement provisions. The Secret Service has determined that age is essential to the performance of this position.
  • Carry and use a firearm. Maintaining firearm proficiency is also mandatory.
  • Possess uncorrected visual acuity of no worse than 20/100 binocular. Possess corrected visual acuity of 20/20 or better in each eye.
  • Hearing loss, as measured by an audiometer, must not exceed 25 decibels (A.S.A. or equivalent I.S.O.) in either ear in the 500, 1000, and 2000 Hz ranges. Applicants must be able to hear the whispered voice at 15 feet with each ear without the use of a hearing aid.
  • Submit to a drug test prior to your appointment and random drug testing while you occupy the position.
  • Complete 12 weeks of intensive training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Glynco, GA or Artesia, NM and 17 weeks of specialized training at the James J. Rowley Training Center in Laurel, MD.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Nephrologist to join El Camino Health Medical Network. This position offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive kidney care in a collaborative, patient-centered environment with strong operational support.

The ideal candidate is committed to delivering high-quality care, building long-term patient relationships, and contributing to the continued growth of the nephrology department.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide outpatient nephrology care including evaluation and management of:

    • Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD)

    • Hypertension

    • Electrolyte disorders

    • Glomerular diseases

    • Acute kidney injury follow-up

  • Manage dialysis patients in outpatient dialysis centers (if applicable)

  • Collaborate with primary care physicians and specialists to coordinate care

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within EPIC

  • Support patient education and preventative kidney health initiatives


Practice Details

  • Primarily outpatient setting

  • Established referral base

  • Integrated care model with access to:

    • Primary Care

    • Cardiology

    • Endocrinology

  • Dedicated clinical and administrative support staff

  • Predictable clinic schedule

Qualifications
